Home to a grocer, food hall, donut kiosk, and more, Market Blue is the place to go if you’re looking for all things Korean. On 24 and 25 June 2023, you’ll find a large array of street food, authentic Korean cuisine, designer stoneware, and so much more at Tanglin Mall.
For those of you who’ve been to the previous rendition of the K-Market Festival in April 2023, you can expect more homely food this time round — think kimchi, japchae, and kimbap made by an actual eomma.
Plus, you’re bound to feel like you’ve been transported to Myeongdong as you indulge in Korean street eats like hotteok, tteokbokki, corn dogs, and more. Did I also mention that there’ll be soy marinated abalone and spicy marinated crabs?
Yes, you heard right! There will be limited amounts of these popular delights made by a Korean chef, and you can actually pre-order them for self pick-up at the weekend market via their Instagram. If you’re looking for authentic products as well, you’ll be delighted to know that you can get premium sesame oil, plum extract, and more — direct from Korea.
There will also be pop-ups with stalls like The Moon Jar, which serves up various dishes on beautiful ceramics handmade by Korean and Japanese artists. You can actually enjoy a discount of up to 40% on selected items, so it’s the perfect time to bring home some of these aesthetic pieces.
If the previous festival was any indication, it’ll probably be pretty packed, so be sure to head down early!
