It’s been a hot minute since we’ve immersed ourselves in anything Disney — it seems like reliving favourite movies on Disney+ is the closest we’ll get these days; and new series or shows, if we’re lucky.
But just as most are in the thick of being travel-starved, Pop-Up Disney! A Mickey Celebration in Singapore swoops in and salvages the holiday plans this season.
In its first Southeast Asian instalment, the Mickey-centric pop-up spans across more than 1,350 sqm at Suntec Convention Centre and houses seven experiential rooms that are sure to seal in plenty of photo opportunities.
Some installations to look out for include Mickey and Minnie’s Love Room that’s brightened up with a huge Minnie Mouse bow sofa, an infinity room filled with the iconic Mickey Mouse ears, as well as a curious tunnel where you’ll find Sorcerer Mickey.
Perhaps regarded as one of the highlights, the Singapore-themed room puts a local spin on the classic characters that many have come to know and love, and celebrates Mickey in a “truly Singaporean way”, as organisers put it.
The pop-up is slated to reach us on 19 November 2021 and runs until 20 March 2022. And while there’s plenty of time to pay a visit, there’s no telling how quickly tickets will sell out.
Ticket prices go at S$20 for children aged three to 12, and S$25 for visitors above 12 years old. Upgrade your ticket and receive a Mickey Mouse or Minnie Mouse headband at S$35, and there’s also a bundle deal at S$98 for five tickets if you’re going in a group.
