Race down neon-lit tracks with upbeat music at the world’s first nighttime musical joyride at Skyline Luge Sentosa

by Marcus Leong

We’re all familiar with Skyline Luge Singapore by now — I mean, it is one of the most popular attractions in Sentosa. But what you probably didn’t know is that you can ride the luge at night?

If you thought racing down the track was thrilling enough, wait till you try riding it at night — but, don’t worry this time there won’t be any zombies jumping out and scaring you.

To make your experience even more exciting, Ride the Beat Luge is Skyline Singapore’s newest sensory experience that combines the fun of zipping down the tracks with upbeat hits playing in the background. Forget about hitting the clubs, it’s time to hit the tracks for a change!

As its name suggests, music is at the heart of Ride the Beat and you’ll be greeted with high-energy beats right from the moment you enter — there’s literally a DJ booth at the entrance right as you walk in — that’s how dedicated they are.

Even as you’re riding the chairlift up to the top of the luge, you’ll be able to vibe out to hits curated by EDM expert DJ Hamez from AFTERLIFE by Aiko Collective

You can expect to hear tracks from artists like Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift, Coldplay and so much more. But a word of advice, the chairlift does climb pretty high up so maybe don’t get too excited while you’re up there.

To all those who are afraid of heights but still wanna go for the ride, make sure you’re surrounded by some brave folks, and whatever you do, don’t look down.

There’re a total of four different routes to take, all of which are filled with exciting twists and curvy corners that will leave you coming back for more. Even the tunnels are decorated with vibey neon lights that illuminate the path and get you into the mood to dance.

Go for the Jungle Trail or the Expedition Trail to get the best musical experience during your ride. The groovy beats will have you singing and dancing all the way down but just remember to keep your hands on the wheels and your eyes on the road at all times — don’t wanna cause an accident now, do we?
