Simplicité’s new Jellycat-inspired menu looks like the cutest Amuseables, with dishes like Shortrib Ragu Papperdelle, Lychee Cocoroll and more

Inspired by modern Parisian cafes, Simplicité has been around for years with European dishes. But this August, they’ve launched a new Jellycat-inspired menu with the most adorable desserts and bites you’ve ever seen.

Jellycat derived its unusual name from the brand’s squishy yet cuddly soft toys, and Simplicité is ensuring you get the same cosy warmth from their whimsical new menu.

For starters, there are two “Warm & Cuddly” options, the French Onion Soup (S$13) and Mushroom Soup (S$13).

The mains are aptly named “Main Characters”, with each option inspired by your favourite Jellycats.

The Messy Breakfast (S$26) features a shio pan, which looks basically identical to the Amuseables Croissant. Only, it’s complete with hearty breakfast items like sausages, truffle scrambled eggs, and mushrooms.

If you’re more of a sweet-things-for-breakfast kind of person, try the Blueberry Pancake Stack (S$21). It’s a luscious combination of blueberry-infused pancakes with a drizzle of caramel.

Other hearty picks include the Shortrib Ragu Pappardelle (S$24) and Double Cheese Da Bomb Burger (S$24)

The drinks menu is affectionately named “Sips & Snuggles” (let’s be honest, every sip of matcha feels like a warm hug). Matcha fanatics will be glad to find the Iced Fresh Strawberry Matcha Latte (S$12).

There’s a variety of drinks, from the Lavender Latte (S$9.90) to non-caffeinated options like the Biscoff Latte (S$8.80) and Pistachio Latte (S$8.80).

We all have separate stomachs for dessert, so end on a high note with their “Sweeties”. While the Sunny Cheeselet (S$13) looks like a wedge of cheese, it hides a chocolate sponge, mango mousse, and mango jelly.

On the other hand, the Lychee Cocoroll (S$13) is a creative combination of vanilla sponge, lychee mousse, coconut, and chocolate.

If that’s not enough, indulge in the Jellycat Whimsy Hour Tea Set (S$55.90 for two pax), available from 2pm to 6pm

This includes a selection of patisserie, like Milk Tea Vanilla Mousse, savoury dishes like Truffle Cold Angel Hair, and your choice of tea or coffee.

Make your reservations here, because Simplicité is probably booked and busy with Jellycat fans.

This menu is only available for a limited time (and the end date is a mystery for now), so hop over before these plushie-plated items disappear.

Whatever you choose, these “Amuseables” lookalikes are sure to fill your day (and stomachs) with cheer.
