Can’t get enough of the leisurely vibes at Desaru Coast? Whether you’ve visited in the past, or if you haven’t just yet, many Singaporeans have rejoiced since Singapore to Desaru ferry services were made available for booking from 30 June.
Now, in the spirit of the festive season, the ferry services will be extending their services by providing round trips to and fro Desaru Coast daily from 15 December 2022 to 2 January 2023. If you’re looking to spend the public holidays over at the idyllic resorts and beaches there, you’ll also be thrilled to know that there’ll be double ferry services over Christmas (24 December 2022 to 26 December 2022) and New Year’s (31 December 2022 to 2 January 2023) weekends.
Even if you’re not looking to stay the night, there are also daycation packages available with the return ferry tickets including many sights and activities that are popular at Desaru.
Great for couples looking for a short getaway, families craving to get out of town for some quality family bonding and even groups of friends who just want to have some fun – this affordable destination is finally more easily accessible thanks to the daily ferry services.
It’s the perfect coastal getaway packed with a variety of things to explore from Adventure Waterpark Desaru Coast and the idyllic Desaru Beach to Desaru Ostrich Farm, Teluk Sengat Crocodile Farm, Tanjung Balau Fishing Village, Fishermen Museum and more.
And if you’re keen, you can also go on a tasting tour at Desaru Fruit Farm, or visit Sungai Rengit (a fishing village) where you’ll find affordable seafood aplenty.
There are a number of luxurious resorts around the area as well such as Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast, and Four Points by Sheraton Desaru (rooms are now going at a steal of S$90 per night!).
Desaru Coast is also just a 90-minute ferry ride from Singapore, so get ready to catch your ferry at Singapore’s Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal and arrive at Johor’s Desaru Coast Ferry Terminal.
With much to see and do along with affordable seafood and luxurious stays – doesn’t it sound like a great weekend just waiting to happen?
All that’s left to do is to book your ferry and hotel! (Ferry services to Desaru Coast can be booked via Desaru Coast or Batam Fast.)
PS: Apart from taking a ferry to Desaru Coast, there are plenty of ways to indulge your wanderlust such as booking flights and hopping on a plane, taking this incredibly beautiful train from Singapore to Bangkok, or a good ol’ cruise around our waters.
