Complete your health goals before 2025 ends with cat yoga, pilates, and more

by Alexis Lee

As 2025 comes to an end, the yearly urge to start living a healthy life is creeping back in. Are you starting to wonder what activities or exercises you can do on the low-key, or workouts you can do alone? As someone who has been researching the same, here are my top five sports picks you can do alone.

Cat Yoga

It’s extremely common to feel nervous or shy during your first workout session. Well, that might be because you have not experienced cat yoga. All stress melts away as you focus on the adorable felines more than your instructor. There are quite a few cat yoga spots in Singapore, a favourite of mine being Kitty Yoga Singapore

Kitty Yoga Singapore is also having an 11.11 promotion, where two yoga classes cost just S$60 compared to the original S$44 per class. Redeem Kitty Yoga’s promotion via DM by 13 November 2025, or book a class here

Running

For those who prefer walking long distances, running is not only a great solo sport, but a solo activity in general. Surround yourself with the lush greenery Singapore has to offer, or explore new footpaths in Singapore

Routes with park connectors are what I would recommend, especially to those poor with directions. A highly intuitive path would be from Rower’s Bay Park at Lower Seletar Reservoir to Punggol Waterway Park, where you can pause or end your workout with a refreshing pit stop.

Kayaking

Beyond the land, we also have water sports that you can do. Kayaking is a highly popular solo sport, where you can explore shorebays or venture out into new waterways.

While there are popular kayaking spots in Singapore like the Kallang River or Paris Park, PAssion Wave rents out various boats and rafts across the island. Spots include: Bedok Reservoir, East Coast, Marina Bay, Pasir Ris, Jurong Lake Gardens, and Sembawang
Do visit their website to find out which areas rent out your needed equipment.

Pilates

An emerging workout highly popular with the clean-girl aesthetic, Pilates show results fairly fast when done regularly, not to mention it becomes addicting after a while. You can choose between the two usual types of Pilates: Mat or Reformer Pilates

Between the two, choosing Mat Pilates ensures a more meditative routine, and Reformer Pilates gives you the satisfying burn without fail.

A recent top pick of ours is the Pilates studio SG Pilates, which is currently holding their 11.11 class deals. Grab 10 Pilates Group Sessions for just S$218 if you sign up before 26 November 2025, or for S$199 if you confirm your attendance before 20 November 2025!

Rock Climbing

A fun sport for fans of high elements, the adrenaline that rock climbing gives is indescribable. Although it can be intimidating especially for beginners, rock climbing venues are well supervised, making sure that everyone stays safe.

There are plenty of rock climbing gyms and stations across Singapore, with rock climbing classes available at most venues. If done regularly, you can even expect to see yourself with lean arms in the next few months without realising it.

If you’re unsure about which rock climbing station to visit, Climb Central SG is a great option, especially when they’re located in malls and well surrounded by amenities. Book yourself a beginner class today, or explore the classes they offer here.
