What was the first stall you made a beeline for when the highly-anticipated Thai Supermarket first opened its doors at Aperia Mall?

If your answer is Talad Thai Banana (because how can one resist their addictive fried banana fritters?), you’ll be more than happy to know that they’ve opened a second outlet at AMK Hub!

Just like the menu at their OG outlet, there are three staples on the menu, all of which are made in fresh batches daily, with the bestseller being the Thai Fried Banana (S$4 for 6pcs, S$5 for 8pcs).

These crunchy fritters are made from sweet and creamy Nam Wa bananas shipped directly from Thailand, that are thinly sliced before being dipped in an authentic Thai batter.

The slightly more underrated Thai Yam Chips (S$4) are coated in the same batter — ideal for those who prefer savoury snacks.

And of course, you can’t miss out on the crispy and chewy Sweet Potato Balls (S$5), which take apparently twice as much time to prepare as compared to the yam and banana.

If you’d like to savour all three, go for a bag of Mixed Favourites (S$6), along with a thirst-quenching Fresh Lemongrass Drink (S$3 for a la carte, S$2 for set).
Do note that none of Talad Thai Banana’s products contain any pork or lard, despite not being halal-certified; they can also be enjoyed by vegans and vegetarians.

Don’t feel like travelling down to Lavender or Ang Mo Kio? Punggol residents have much to be excited about, as a third Talad Thai outlet will be opening at Waterway Point in late November — more fritters for all!
