As we’ve made our way through 2022, there’s been many good things that have happened along the way like borders opening up and people finally being able to travel once again. A lot of us are eagerly anticipating travelling to Japan, especially with places like Ghibli Park opening and now – Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo is finally opening soon in 2023!

Located in Toshimaen, Tokyo, you won’t want to miss this if you’re a fan of Harry Potter, or simply love anything new or magical to explore. It’s the second studio tour of its kind, after the original Warner Bros. Studio Tour London. And this means we no longer have to travel allll the way to London if you’d like to experience the magic firsthand!

You can expect to spend at least half a day here with the indoor studio tour spanning 30,000 square meters filled with plenty of iconic film sets and scenes from Harry Potter that were designed by the creators of the film series.

Enjoy a fascinating behind-the-scenes tour of the Harry Potter films with not just film sets but costumes and props, as well as special features showcasing how the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films were made. (Accordingly, the entrance to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo will also feature a specially designed area with the “fantastic beasts” mentioned in the books too!)

It’ll be plenty of fun to experience your favourite Harry Potter scenes first-hand – imagine possibly stepping into The Burrow, the family home of the Weasley family, strolling through Diagon Alley and more. It’ll be like you’ve been whisked away from the usual world of muggles and straight into the fantastical Wizarding World at Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo.

And last but not least, there will be two train station platforms in the vicinity (for trains travelling to Toshimaen) that are being renovated to resemble iconic train stations mentioned in the books such as the Hogsmeade train station (Toshimaen Station), and Kings Cross train station (Ikebukuro Station).

Slated to be ready in the second to the third quarter of 2023, we’re pretty sure (with all fingers crossed) that Japan will be fully open by then, and it’ll be just in time for our adventures to the whimsical worlds of Ghibli and the wizarding world of Harry Potter too!
