Popular halal Taiwanese cafe Wong Fu Fu is back with a mega drink and themed menu! This time, they’re teaming up with Crayon Shinchan for some cheeky dishes… literally.

From 19 June 2025, this collab pop-up will be available for two months, serving up loads of butt cheeks in true mischevous Shinchan nature.

Wong Fu Fu has transformed into a colourful oasis with its vibrant Shinchan artwork and merch stand at the entrance. You’ll also want to look out for the Shinchan plushies along the seats for adorable phototaking ops.

The cafe’s mega drink this round is Singapore’s largest-ever matcha latte. Say goodbye to arm day at the gym, because your next workout is here with their gigantic five-litre matchas.

If you’ve been keeping up with the latest matcha brands, you may recognise the name Niko Neko. Good news, because you’ll be able to sample their matcha with Wong Fu Fu’s Matcha Latte (S$59.90) and Strawberry Matcha (S$69.90), all served in an enormous five-litre cup.

I wasn’t expecting much, but was seriously impressed by the matcha. Mildly sweetened, it had a smooth mouthfeel with no astringency at all. They didn’t skimp on the matcha powder either, as we saw from the bright, robust green.
The Strawberry Matcha leaned towards the sweeter end, with the matcha fading into the background due to the overpowering strawberry syrup. Take this as a good introduction for that one friend who thinks matcha tastes like grass.

Can’t drink enough for ten people? Of course, the drinks are available in regular sizes. Choose from the Iced Matcha Latte (S$9.90), Iced Matcha Strawberry Latte (S$10.90), and Iced Chocolate (S$8.90), each served in a Shinchan mug and topped with whipped cream.

To whet our appetites, we picked the Tater Tots with Taiwan Mochi Balls (S$13.90). These were deep-fried to crunchy perfection, and the mochi balls were sweet and chewy.
Each snack is also served in a limited-edition Shinchan Chocobi Box, with other options like Nacho Cheese Fries (S$11.90) and Cheese Sticks (S$12.90 for six pieces).

The Japanese Seafood Curry Rice (S$23.90) features a Shinchan rice butt with karaage seafood including fried squid rings, tempura, and grilled salmon. The curry was on the saltier end, but that also made it an adequate dipping sauce.

If you’re indecisive like me, the Signature Mini Bowls (S$20.90) allow you to try mini portions of three different dishes.
The Signature Dry Scallion Braised Beef Noodles, although flavourful, was quite salty, with a dry and hard chunk of beef. This made the Taiwan Pearl Fried Rice with Torched Smoked Duck comparatively lighter on the palate.
Our favourite of the three was unexpectedly the Golden Fried Mid-Wings, a pair of crunchy wings coated in an addictive batter.

We ended our meal on a (sugar) high with the Piak! Piak! Shinchan Butt Parfait (S$12.90). It’s essentially a jiggly butt-shaped custard pudding perched atop a fresh strawberry cream cake and strawberry jelly.

Do note that a minimum spend of S$20 per person is required for this pop-up promotion. While there’s no GST, a 10% Service Charge applies. Each child must also order either a kid’s meal or a snack.
