Adventure Cove to reopen on May 12, discounted tickets are now on sale

by Natalie Lim

Adventure Cove Waterpark (ACW)  is reopening on 12 May 2021, and Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) has already released its promotion tickets for sale.

With Circuit Breaker came the closure of many things. The shutdown of nightlife spots, karaoke outlets and even huge attractions such as Universal Studios Singapore.

Though most of them eventually reopened, ACW remained closed for a year, leaving Singaporeans to wonder if it was gone for good. But now, RWS has just released news that you can start booking your tickets to ACW.

Some of the rides and attractions to look forward to would be Riptide Rocket, the region’s first hydro-magnetic coaster. With plunging drops, tight turns and terrifying twists, it’ll be like sitting on an intense rollercoaster — but on water.

Adventure Cove Waterpark features a range of waterslides, but the Whirlpool Washout is always a favourite. Get a partner and whirl through an adrenaline-pumping maze of twists, turns and dips. Just be careful and don’t fall out!

Daredevils will love Splashworks. Instead of simply splashing around, you’ll get to walk on balance beams, cross tight ropes, climb on cargo nets and finally, finish with a leap off the high cliff platform.

The area here is a true test of balance, courage and strength, so it’s exciting to watch on the sidelines.

If you’re with a partner, the Dueling Racer is a ride that you shouldn’t miss. Players are to lie on the mats provided and race each other down a plunging slide.

Some may argue that due to gravity, the heavier person may reach the finish line first. But on the other hand, lightweights have an equal chance due to higher acceleration speed.

But for the lazy worms, we know that the Adventure River is perfect for those that just want to laze around. Grab a tube and float through underwater tunnels where marine fish swim above you or, shoot your family and friends with the provided water cannons.

From now till the end of June, tickets will be going at a promotional opening price. Adult tickets are priced at S$26 and S$32 for non-peak and peak periods respectively, while for children and seniors, tickets are priced at S$20 and S$24 for non-peak and peak periods.

Tickets are usually priced at S$30 for children and S$38 for adults, so if you’re going in a group, it’s pretty decent savings.
