Here are the best shops to find Jellycat in Singapore, offering rare bashful bunnies, amuseables, animal soft toys, bag charms, bags and many more

by Sheree Chua

Who says plushies are only meant for kids? As a full-fledged adult, I’m still enticed by the irresistibly cute and cuddly nature of plushies.

This rings especially true for Jellycat, with their selection of soft toys coming in all sorts of designs imaginable. Like how can you expect me to not swoon over an eggplant stuffed toy (don’t get any funny ideas) and a croissant bag?

Since I recently splurged hundreds of dollars on Jellycat, I want y’all to feel the sting of watching your money flutter away too (yes, I’m evil)!

These are the ultimate Jellycat shops in Singapore — coming from someone who has scoured every corner for rare Jellycat finds like their bags and children’s books.

1. Deer Industries

Deer Industries arguably takes the top spot in the list of best Jellycat shops.

Upon looking at their website, I can see why they call themselves the ‘largest Jellycat store in Singapore’. Aside from the usual selection of bashful bunnies, amuseables and animal soft toys, there are also Jellycat blankets, grabbers and books, which can be incredibly hard to find.

If you’re finally tempted to get the globally popular Jellycat croissant bag charm (S$48.90), this is one of the few places to still have them in stock.

As Deer Industries is a kids’ furniture store, they’re pretty much a one-stop shop for everything little ones need (parents, take note!).

2. Flower Matters

Flower Matters went viral on TikTok and it’s not for reasons you might think. Despite primarily selling flowers (hence their name, duh), they gained a new crowd of customers — those who are obsessed with Jellycat.

This is because their Jellycat collection is seriously impressive, displaying one of the most comprehensive varieties on our tiny island.

The bashful bunnies are available in many many colours and all three sizes: small, medium and large.

Their animal stuffed toys are aplenty too, with sought-after critters like the Nessie Nessa, Bashful Owl and Ricky Rain Frog offered on the shelves.

If no one has reached for it yet, hurry down and grab the Amuseables Banana Bag. Practicality-wise, it’s debatable but in terms of cuteness and humour, it certainly hits the mark.

Flower Matters has many outlets throughout Singapore but their Joo Chiat and ION Orchard sites may grant you more luck when it comes to finding the Jellycat you’re wishing for.

3. Sea Apple

Sea Apple offers another reason to visit New Bahru, the latest talk of the town. While you get your desired Jellycat, you can dine at one of the many establishments in the area or visit trendy stores (Soilboy, anyone?).

Sea Apple, a sustainable childrenswear brand, already houses themselves at United Square but their New Bahru outlet is where you can get their items personalised on-site. Yes, that includes Jellycat as well.

Their Create station offers three customisation methods: Stickers (S$5 for 10 pieces), Patches (from S$1) and Embroidery (S$18). The former two allows you to bring home your personalised Jellycat on the day itself while the latter will take roughly five business days.

Some of their customised designs include alphabet letters, fruits, flowers and animals.

4. Motherworks

This is a hidden gem that I managed to find when exploring every crook and cranny in Singapore for the Fun-Guy Bertie (S$42.90).

Well, I got my hands on it and I’ve got to admit that Motherswork is a godsend for providing one of the most extensive collections of Jellycat I’ve seen. They’ve truly earned their spot as one of the best Jellycat shops.

For all my Jellycat enthusiasts, you should know by now that Jellycat bags and purses are extremely hard to get a hold of. If they’re not out of stock, they aren’t imported into Singapore (I know, it’s frustrating).

Thankfully, Motherswork has got our back. Whether you’re looking for the Amuseable Cream Heart Bag (S$61.90), Moon Bag (S$56.90) or the classic Jellycat Bag (S$84.90), they’ve it all.

5. TANGS at Tang Plaza

Shopping along Orchard Road? Make a mental note to come down to TANGS at Tang Plaza, where you can find a decent selection of Jellycat on the second floor.

Their collection mostly consists of bashful bunnies and amuseables, so animal soft toys are lacking a little. I remembered encountering the Patisserie Mille Feuille (S$31.90), Amuseabean Bunny (S$33.90) and a bunch of fruits like the Fabulous Fruit Orange (S$27.90) while I was there.

Of course, Jellycat and affordable are two words that should never go together but the prices here are lower as compared to other stores. So, take that as you will.

6. Mothercare Experience Store

I tend to shy away from setting foot in Mothercare stores as I’m often mistaken as a parent (news flash: I’m not). However, I’m now willing to put aside that assumption as I recently realised that they stock a wide range of Jellycat.

Even though you can find Mothercare scattered throughout Singapore, their Mothercare Experience Store at Paragon and Harbourfront have the largest assortment of Jellycat out of all the others.

This is where their institutional status as a top baby shop comes into play, as Mothercare gets the latest Jellycat releases in a jiffy.

They also housed a number of limited edition toys not readily available elsewhere, such as the Wrapabat Black or Brown (S$41.90).

7. The Elly Store

The Elly Store is where many parents like to go for their daughters’ Chinese New Year outfits but what about the rest of the year? That’ll be their Jellycat offerings.

Photo: Elly/facebook

Compared to other Jellycat shops in this list, The Elly Store may not have the best selection of Jellycat. However, they have the ever-popular Amuseable Avocado (from S$38.90) and Croissant (from S$38.90) in all sizes, so I’m content.

Want an adorable wedding or graduation gift for a family or friend? The Boiled Egg Bride (S$48.90) or Graduation (S$48.90) make for the perfect plush companion, respectively.
