Grab your sweet treats at Cold Break’s with a 2 pax bundle promotion, including waffles, ice cream, and drinks

Everyone has their preferred spot to satisfy their midnight sweet tooth — Udders at Thomson Road, Lickers at Lavender, Dessert First at Bugis, and so on.

As a responsible admin and certified waffle lover, I want to show off my favourite dessert spot of all — Cold Break Cafe. It was introduced to me by a close friend, and ever since, I have been bringing friends, ex-colleagues, and first dates to this spot.

The cosy atmosphere and interior of the cafe are versatile enough for a casual hangout among friends or a Bumble first date. Adding on, the best part about Cold Break is that they are now officially halal certified too, woohoo!

Despite the questionable pool of people I’ve brought over, their sentiments remain consistent; they loved the ice cream selections, the nian gao waffles, and the selection of drinks and sides

There is also a range of ice cream flavours to choose from, such as Taro Mochi, Black Sesame, Ferrero Rocher, Valrhona Dark Chocolate with Cacao, Pistachio, White Chrysanthemum, Earl Grey Lavender, and more.

You can order it in a single scoop at S$4.90, or a double scoop at S$8.90, to share if you are on a first date or with friends.

The multitude of ice cream flavours gives Cold Break an upper hand in comparison to the other ice cream cafes. However, what sealed my heart is the waffles.

The cafe’s waffle flavour offerings are Buttermilk or Pandan. I enjoy the pandan flavour more than Buttermilk since it meshes well with my ice cream choices, which tend to be on the sweeter, heavier side, like Ferrero Rocher.

Yet, Cold Break is famously known more for its waffle fillings than anything else. Opt for either the Nian Gao (top up S$1) or Orh Nee (at an additional S$1.50) filling to get that extra soft, sticky, and sweet yet crunchy bite.

Coupled with an ice cream flavour of your choice, the entire experience lets you savour the sweet blend of waffle, ice cream, toppings, and soft fillings, all at once

If you’re a bigger fan of Orh Nee, instead of waffles, dive right into the Orh Nee Brûlée for just S$6.80. Top up an additional S$3.50 to add a scoop of ice cream onto your brûlée to sweeten the deal even more.

Additionally, Strawberry Matcha (S$8.50), Seasalt Brownie with Butterscotch Sauce (S$5), and Cheesy Potato Tots (S$7.50) are new menu items that you can get to balance out your sweet palate.

Another thing that makes Cold Break my number one favourite dessert spot is their ongoing promotions.

With just S$22.80, you can order one waffle (S$6.50), a double scoop of ice cream (S$8.90), and two drinks (S$15.60) of your choice — the perfect bundle for a date with your bestie, or your Bumble match.

If you’re looking for someone to share the bundle with, I’m always willing to volunteer as tribute! Shall we go together soon?
