McDonald’s recently launched a special burger to celebrate Singapore’s culture, which added a touch of local flair in the form of Hainanese Chicken Rice flavours. But you know what’s something that’s also very Singaporean? Our eternal, feverous craze for bubble tea.
It’s only apt that McDonald’s next special item after the Crispy Hainanese Chicken burger is a Brown Sugar Milk Tea ice cream. Everyone’s favourite vanilla ice cream married with Brown Sugar Milk Tea? Sounds like it could be many people’s… cup of tea.
You can grab the new ice cream in a few forms, both in cones and in cups from any of McDonald’s Dessert Kiosks. Sadly, there are no pearls if you were hoping for a full-on brown sugar fresh milk experience.
For those that like their ice cream fudgy, grab the Brown Sugar Milk Tea Hot Fudge Sundae (S$2), which mixes the aroma of the milk tea with McDonald’s classic hot fudge richness.
There’s also a Brown Sugar Milk Tea Hot Fudge Sundae (S$3) for some of that satisfying oreo crunch, blended into the smooth and decadent brown sugar milk tea base.
But if you’re someone who can’t indulge in ice cream without the pleasure of biting into a crunchy cone, you can get the Brown Sugar Milk Tea ice cream in McDonald’s classic cones.
You can have it 2 ways — either enjoy the Brown Sugar Milk Tea Cone (S$1) on its own or in a Brown Sugar Milk Tea Twist Cone (S$1) that gives you the best of both worlds.
While we’re glad that McDonald’s is gonna satisfy the cravings of all us boba fans out there, we can’t help but be envious of the McDonald’s Malaysia creation of Brown Sugar Boba McFlurry.
It even comes with signature chewy pearls and caramelised brown sugar for the ultimate brown sugar milk tea experience.
But hey, having the choice of 4 different combinations of the ice cream is good enough for any sweet tooth! If you’re both a BBT and McDonald’s aficionado, then head down to a dessert kiosk and get them all.
