Rainy weather calls for comfort food, and what better than a bowl of soup?
Treat yourself to a bowl of hearty Korean Ginseng Chicken Soup at MODU, Singapore’s first and only samgyetang specialty restaurant at Mandarin Gallery.

Here’s what we tried:
The Perilla Seed Samgyetang (S$38) is perfect for herb lovers. The thick and creamy broth was made from perilla seeds, which was definitely an experience to try out.

Want glowing skin like your favourite Korean celebrities? The Beauty Samgyetang (S$37) is infused with beauty-enhancing herbs flown in from Korea for that extra glow factor. It’s light, clean, and subtly herbal.

Black Chicken Samgyetang (S$37) was a standout. Made with the same broth as the Beauty Samgyetang, this has a lighter herbal note and a hint of sweetness lingers. It’s flavourful and oh-so-satisfying in each bite.

The Spicy Hangover Samgyetang (S$37) was another showstopper. A mildly spicy twist with gochujang bringing in the kick. Even if you’re not nursing a hangover, this soup is still comforting.

Each bowl of samgyetang comes with a side of glutinous rice (admin brought out her second stomach and still couldn’t finish this). Complement this with the tangy radish kimchi to get that perfect bite.

MODU’s menu doesn’t just stop at samgyetang.
The Dak KalGukSu (S$32) was one of my highlights: a chicken noodle soup with tender meat and chewy noodles which was absolutely delightful.

The Chicken Porridge (S$25), made with collagen-rich broth was rich and creamy. Perfect for the recent gloomy weather.

Don’t miss out on MODU’s exclusive Korean beverages like their Signature Ginseng Makgeolli (S$20) or the Jjangsu Cameo Makgeolli 6% (S$40).
For a non-alcoholic option, the signature Ginseng Tea (S$9) is a soothing, aromatic drink with earthy ginseng notes. The perfect way to round off your way.
Whether you’re in need of a pick-me-up or just some nourishing goodness, MODU promises a healing experience just for you.

Will MODU be your next rainy-day dining spot?
