We all look forward to the McDonald’s seasonal burgers every year. We’ve had the Korean Jjang! Jjang! Burger, the Laksa Delight Burger (which I miss dearly), the McPepper, the Hokkaido Salmon Burger, and so on and so forth.
But it’s that time of the year, during which one extra special burger that many consider to be superior even to the Nasi Lemak and Prosperity Burgers makes a triumphant return — all hail the Samurai Burger!
Yes, this legendary burger will be back at all McDonald’s outlets islandwide from today (21 September 2023), 11am onwards.
The Samurai Burger typically comes in beef and chicken — you can choose between a juicy quarter pounder beef patty or a grilled chicken patty dipped in McDonald’s signature sweet and savoury teriyaki sauce, topped off with crisp lettuce, between gloriously toasted buns.
Both the Samurai Beef Burger and Samurai Chicken Burger are priced from S$7 for a single patty or S$9 for a double patty with the option to make it an Extra Value Meal.
The burger last made its comeback on 22 September 2022 alongside the immensely popular seasoned sidekick, the Seaweed McShaker Fries, which will also be returning this year. What’s not like about crispy golden fries dusted with Japanese umami seaweed?
This will also be available for a limited time, while stocks last.
You can also look forward to a brand new pie special, the fruity White Peach Yogurt Pie (from S$1.80), white peach and a creamy white yogurt custard encased in a bubbly pastry crust.
Can’t wait to sink your teeth into this iconic burger? Head on down to your nearest Mcdonald’s outlet today!
