When anyone asks me, “Do you want to go bowling?” my answer is always “no.” Not because I’ve anything against the sport but simply because I don’t know how to bowl. It all comes from a desire to avoid embarrassing myself on the lanes.

However, this new bowling spot might just change my mind.

Supreme Cosmic Bowl, a popular bowling chain from Malaysia, is famous for their vibrant neon-themed interiors. With two successful outlets in Kuala Lumpur, it’s only natural for them to expand to Johor Bahru — the second home for many Singaporeans.

And, it looks like they’ve chosen Mid Valley Southkey as their home. It’s a good choice as we can bowl, shop, and dine all in one place.

At Supreme Cosmic Bowl, you can look forward to glow-in-the-dark seatings and tables, alongside pool tables and dart machines. While I can’t promise you that these fluorescent objects won’t cause discomfort to your eyes after a while, they certainly look cool.

Their bowling lanes glow-in-the-dark too, being AR (augmented reality)-integrated. This is an outlet-exclusive feature, meaning you won’t find this unique gaming experience at their KL-based locations.

As you bowl, you’ll be treated to a dynamic display of graphics and animations that enhance your surrounding environment. Some of the visuals include exciting scenes like a car race and delicate sprinkles of Sakura flowers, just to name a few.

I bet bowling can work up an appetite! When you’re feeling famished or need an energy boost, their menu has you covered.

Snack on Spicy Wedges, Buffalo Wings, or Chicken Nuggets, and if you’re craving something more substantial, go for the Kampung Fried Rice or Mac & Cheese.

As for drinks, there are Virgo Mocktail, Mint Berry Frizz Mocktail, and Fresh Watermelon Juice.

That said, your ticket includes a complimentary drink and popcorn, so you definitely won’t go hungry while enjoying the fun.

Walk-in rates per game are priced at RM35 (S$10.82) per person from Monday to Thursday, whereas it’s RM45 (S$13.91) per person from Friday to Sunday and Public Holidays.
