The Con Artist by The Fourty Thieves is one restaurant that’s mastered the art of fusion cuisine, and it’s here you’ll find some of the most innovative dishes, and even a mystery dining experience.
Prepare to be wowed by a surprise six-course menu when you attend their mystery dining experience (S$89 per pax), held every Saturday from 7pm to 9pm. While the specially curated menu remains a secret until you arrive, past dinners have included dishes such as Kolo Linguine, Tandoori Duck Confit, and Salmon Ceviche.
The dishes may change every week, but one thing’s for sure — the restaurant serves up some unique dishes that you probably won’t find anywhere else.
Besides the mystery dining experience, the restaurant also has a regular menu filled with fusion dishes that all look really good. Try the Satay Ribeye, a juicy slab of ribeye steak coated in satay peanut sauce and served with ketupat on the side.
If you’re a fan of lasagnes, the restaurant dishes out multiple unique lasagne dishes with a local twist. Go for the Ayam Masak Merah Lasagne (S$15.90) if you prefer something spicier, or try the Beef Rendang Lasagne (S$15.90) for something with a sweeter tang.
For something a bit lighter, the Fried Mantou with Shredded Beef Rendang (S$9.90) is another popular dish. While fried mantou is something we usually have with chilli crab gravy, you’ll be surprised how well it also goes with a generous portion of savoury rendang!
Otherwise, go for the Cheesy Beef Popiah (S$5.90 for 3pcs) — a must-try dish that’s sure to satisfy any cheese-lover.
