Given how crazy hot the weather has been lately, seeking out new dessert spots has naturally become a pastime of ours.
Westies can now seek respite in the form of an icy, refreshing sweet treat at Three Madames, a dessert cafe in Jurong East.
They serve up an impressive selection of hot and cold desserts, including traditional classics like Pulut Hitam (S$3.60), Bubur Cha Cha (S$4.80), Yam Paste (S$4.80), and Chendol (S$4.50), alongside an array of unique options you probably won’t find elsewhere.
It seems as though diners have been making a beeline for the Snowflakes Series (S$8.90), featuring bingsu-style shaved milk ice in flavours ranging from Matcha and Black Sesame to locally-inspired Kaya Pandan and Salted Egg.
The Salted Egg, in particular, is served with toppings like mini mochi balls, cracker crumbs, and a scoop of vanilla ice cream, drizzled with creamy salted egg sauce — ideal for those who enjoy sweet and savoury desserts.
There’s also the Cold Pot (S$13.90), which comes with your choice of coconut or sour plum jelly, as well as an assortment of popping boba, fruits, jellies, and shaved ice, all served in an IG-worthy “hotpot”.
It is joined by the likes of Frutti Noodle (S$8.90), noodle-shaped jelly strips with fresh fruits; and Bandung Fruit Ice (S$5.90), doused in the nostalgic pink childhood beverage.
Alternatively, you can also find freshly baked Waffles with Pandan Kaya (S$6.90), Salted Egg (S$7.90), and Durian Musang King (S$10.90).
All desserts come with the option to add extra toppings (from S$0.80) like Sakura Pearls, Lychee Pop, Big Taro Balls, and ice cream.
Three Madames opens till 12am on Fridays and Saturdays, so why not head down for your dessert fix if you’re feeling the heat?
