Tiong Bahru Bakery Centrepoint’s swanky new outlet in Orchard Road spans a total of 3,500 sq ft and has both indoor and outdoor seating. The store is also decorated in quirky carnival and gipsy motifs. Apart from a brand new vibrant shop space, they’ve also got an exclusive hot food menu that is only available here and at their outlet in Raffles City.

My favourite item on the menu was the Pulled Pork Risoni (S$24). This was my first time trying risoni and if you’re like me and don’t know what risoni is, it’s basically rice but the pasta version. The pork was super tender and flavourful, while the chewy and creamy risoni added a nice texture into the mix.

The dish is topped with a fresh watercress and red shiso cress salad along with some shaved parmesan. The salad definitely added a fresh crunch to the dish while the parmesan helped to add some extra savouriness that elevated the smokiness of the pulled pork. It’s the perfect hearty brunch meal that will give you enough fuel for a full day of shopping.

If you love having something sweet and savoury for brunch, then you should totally get TBB’s Savoury Pancakes (S$22). The dish features a fluffy pancake stack topped with the perfect sunny-side up egg, crispy bacon, and drizzled with maple syrup. The pancakes were super fluffy and soft, and it soaked up all the maple syrup which gave it a burst of sweetness.

TBB was not kidding when they said “crispy bacon”. The bacon strips were fried to the perfect crisp. They were smoky, savoury, and added a nice crunch to the soft pancakes. The only thing that I felt was missing from this dish was a side of fresh fruit salad to give a touch of tanginess and cut through the grease from the bacon.

Looking for something that is high in protein and low in carbs? Tiong Bahru Bakery Centrepoint has the perfect meal for you — the Hot Chicken & Pumpkin (S$24). The dish features a thick and juicy seared chicken breast paired with a creamy wasabi sauce, roasted gochujang spiced Kabocha pumpkin and mesclun salad.

The chicken was very well seasoned, and I loved the crispy skin. Although, some parts of the chicken might get a little tough — but that’s the downside of chicken breast, after all. The creamy wasabi sauce added a mild spice kick to the dish without being too overpowering (don’t worry your nose won’t sting either).

I’m still thinking about the roasted pumpkin, which had a a nice charand a smoky caramel-like flavour that helped to elevate its natural sweetness.

While I was eating it, it kinda reminded me more of sweet potato because of the sweetness and soft creamy texture. It looks like I will be adding pumpkin to all my future BBQ gatherings from now on.

There’s also a Dessert Croffle (S$10) on the menu — and we just had to order it. The caramelised croffle is made from TBB’s signature croissant with two generous scoops of house-made vanilla bean ice cream, drizzled with chocolate sauce and roasted almond flakes.

The croffle was perfectly caramelised and super flaky. The crust of the croffle was sweet and the house-made vanilla ice cream did help to balance out the sweetness, while also adding a touch of creaminess to it. The vanilla ice cream was so yummy, I just wished TBB would sell it in tubs in-store.

Apart from the hot food, you can also get your favourite artisanal bakes, coffees, juices and more here. Plus, they’ve also got some pretty cute merch for you to check out including the viral kouign amann and brioche handwashes.
