This food bazaar in JB is open till midnight with affordable street eats, vintage thrifting & more for a limited time only

If you did not visit a night bazaar while in JB, did you really travel there at all? 

For those who are still scrambling to search up the nearest bazaar to you, fret not, because here’s one that you can save for your next trip.

Located just a 15-minutes drive away from the checkpoint, Urban Market has everything that you’ll need for a quick getaway including F&B stalls, vintage thrifting, and live band performances. 

First things first, we gotta talk about the food.

You should definitely come on an empty stomach as there is a wide variety of street fare to indulge in. 

You have the usual fried chicken, meat and seafood skewers, and beef or lamb burgers with caramelised onions and melted cheese. If you’re craving for ramly burgers, the latter might just do the trick. 

For all the instant noodles lovers or fanatics, listen up.

Get your cravings sorted at this stall that offers a variety of Samyang flavours like cheese, hot chicken, carbonara, curry, and classic original with a side of nuggets or meatballs. 

But, if you prefer something less filling, they offer street snacks such as pani puri in flavours like cheese, yogurt, and ice cream. 

As someone who has never heard of the latter combination, I’m very interested to find out how it would taste served in the savoury puri shell. 

Besides that, they also have viral snacks like the kunafa — made with crispy shredded phyllo pastry — which comes slathered in chocolate sauce and various toppings of your choice.

While you’re there, you should try out peneram AKA sweet donut-like pastry. It’s an extremely popular street snack that can be enjoyed in different flavours like kopi, strawberry, and chocolate.

Otherwise, there are tons of other desserts to try including souffle pancakes, stuffed jelly donuts, and jelly balls that come in every colour of the rainbow. 

While you’re munching on the food, don’t forget to get a cup of kopi Vietnam or susu soya to wash it all down.

Afterwards, you might want to get some thrifting done as there are lots of special discounts going on. 

You can expect to find items like oversized vintage hoodies, cargo pants, and even children’s pyjamas.

Pair your new fits with shoes, accessories like rings and watches or get a new fragrance all at a third of its usual price.
