Specials of the Month 

Among the four options, we let the server’s recommendation guide us to the deep-fried Soft Shell Crab, and it did not disappoint. Fried to a delicate crisp, the soft shell crab shatters with each bite, revealing tender, sweet crab meat within. A textural delight from start to finish, this was easily our favourite dish from Bottega JB. Being a monthly special, this changes from time to time. So do check the menu when you visit to see what’s currently available!

Cold Platter

Don’t sleep on their Cold Platter selections! Try the affordable Pork-Free Charcuterie (from MYR36) with Beef Salami and Cheeses, or go full cheese mode with the Cheese Board (from MYR36), featuring seven varieties and plenty of room for cheesy jokes. Both come with bread, olives, and dips. 

Salad, Soup & Starter

Wish to sneak some greens in to have a balanced diet? The Parmigiana (MYR35) is an oven-baked Eggplant with Mozzarella, Parmesan Cheese, and Italian Basil in Tomato Sauce. For something lighter to kick-start your appetite, the Botteghina (MYR36) would be a good choice with Hydroponic Leaves, Beetroot, Pumpkin, and White Quinoa all toasted in Truffle Dressing; this vegetarian-friendly starter is a good option! 

Pasta & Mains

From the Pasta and Main Course section, we ordered La Genovese (MYR40), a Candele Pasta with Stewed Beef and a healthy dose of Pecorino Romano Cheese. Another popular item was the Pork Cheek (MYR70), slow-cooked for 36 hours on a bed of creamy yet light Mashed Potato, seasoned to perfection.

We’ll definitely be back to try the fancy Beef Spinacino (MYR98), a delectable plate of Piedmontese Tri-tip Steak, a highly prized cut from the bottom of the sirloin, and the classic Her Carbonara (MYR42) made using Aged Pork Guanciale and Free-Range Egg Yolk.

Desserts

To end off the hearty meal with a bang, we shared the Homemade Tiramisu with Alcohol (MYR32). Another option is the Caprese (MYR30), made out of 70% Dark Chocolate and Dark Rum, paired with a side of Vanilla Ice Cream. If you prefer a non-alcoholic dessert, get the Homemade Tiramisu without Alcohol (MYR30) or the Pannacotta Alla Vaniglia (MYR29), a sweet Vanilla Pannacotta with Vanilla Crumble, drizzled with Forest Berry sauce.

Seats are never in short supply here – but come lunchtime, the crowd of office workers and tourists starts to build.

Weekday Lunch Special

From the Weekday Lunch Special (11am to 3pm), we tried the HKS Ultimate Indomie Chimken (from S$10) and Wet Indomie with Chimken (with S$11). Yes — “Chimken,” it isn’t a typo. The difference between the 2 bowls comes down to the mushiness of the noodles, with the Wet Indomie topped with an Onsen Egg instead of a Fried Egg. We went for spice Levels 1 to 3, and safe to say, things heated up fast. Turns out, playing with fire (or chilli) has consequences. The spice scale runs from Spicy Level Baby (Not Spicy) all the way to Spicy Level 21, not for the faint of heart — and with an additional fee of S$0.50 to S$6 as the heat cranks up.

We skipped the classic Rice Chimken (S$9.50) and signature Ayam Berempah (S$16.68) in favour of the Fried Rice Kampung (S$12.38) – wok-fried rice loaded with boneless chicken, fried egg, shrimp crackers, and a solid kick of chilli by the side. The smashed chicken was coated with the right amount of chilli, so tender and easy to eat – the kind of addictive combination that had us reaching for piece after piece without realising it.

To bring down the heat from all that spice, we had the Fangko Honey Lemon Flower (S$5.50), cooling and refreshing; Kopi Kampung (S$7.20), a perfect caffeine fix; and Matcha Strawberry Latte (S$8.80), with a generous amount of strawberry jam for strawberry lovers. Other unique drinks worth trying are the Avocado Coffee (S$8.80), Fangko Melaka Latte (from S$6.80), and the World Famous Jamaica Rhum (S$7.50).

Pastries and Desserts

If those options are too heavy for you, opt for their Lemon Pound Cake (S$5.50), Plain Croissant (S$4.50), Kaya Croissant (S$5.50), or FangkoMisu (Tiramisu) with 2 variations available – Coffee (S$12.90) and Matcha (S$13.90).

Raw Fish

Estiatorio Milo knows how to kraken up the seafood game. The menu opens with Fresh Fish and Seafood guided by the restaurant’s own “Captains”, who walk diners through the day’s catch. Don’t miss their Raw Fish selections, including Sashimi (S$36), Tartare (S$42), and Ceviche, featuring Magiatiko, Tuna, Salmon, and Loup de Mer. We started with the Ceviche (S$42), with a slightly sweet flavour that paired well with the Crostini. Simplicity at its finest – the Loup de Mer at Milos lets the fish speak for itself, whether served raw, grilled, or baked whole in sea salt.

Milos Classic

Let’s talk green. Who would’ve thought Zucchini and Eggplant could taste this good? The must-order Milos Special (S$45) is a personal favourite. Lightly fried and paired with Saganaki Cheese and Tzatziki, it’s a perfect dish to pass around the table. This tower of paper-thin crispy vegetable dish is proof that simple ingredients can steal the show. If you would like something a little lighter, the Green Salad (S$32) hits the spot. A fresh mix of Romaine, Dill, Spring Onions, Manouri Cheese, and the signature Milos dressing, it’s ideal for refreshing the palate.

No seafood spread is complete without the Fried Calamari (S$42) — a crowd’s favourite — crispy on the outside and tender within, dangerously addictive, and gone within seconds. But the real star was the Crab Cake (S$45), jam-packed with crab meat. So good it deserves one per person. So do yourself a favour and order your own. Sharing this one? Not a chance.

Meat

Rounding out the menu, if you’re a huge fan of fish, go for the Bigeye Tuna (S$68) or Rouge Label Salmon (S$62). Prefer something meatier? Try the Milk-Fed Baby Lamb Chops (S$88), Filet Mignon (S$88), or 21-Day Dry-Aged Rib-Eye Steak (S$108). We ordered the Filet Mignon, USDA Black Angus Filet served with crispy Greek Fries. Cooked medium, the Filet Mignon had a light sear on the outside with a warm, pink, tender centre – juicy and perfectly balanced.

Estiatorio Milos has a 3-course Lunch Menu, from Monday to Friday for S$68++ (excluding eve of PH & PH) and Saturday and Sunday for S$88++. Both Weekday and Weekend menus also feature an extensive Greek wine list by the glass, along with a lineup of signature cocktails such as the Martini of the Gods, Santorini Sunrise, and Mastiha Espresso Martini — all at S$24 each.

Slavic cuisine is comfort food at its finest. They centred around handmade dumplings, hearty soups, smoky meats, fresh breads, and rich stews that warm you up instantly. The flavours are simple but deeply satisfying. If you love comforting, home-style meals with plenty of character, Slavic food is definitely worth exploring!

Kapitan

Kapitan brings the comfort and character of Eastern Europe to your table, serving slow-cooked goulash, handmade dumplings, and house-made kompot. Try their signature Ukrainian Borscht (S$14), a traditional beetroot soup full of soul. Other must-try dishes are their Uzbek Plov (S$29), advertised as ‘Angmoh Briyani’, and a classic Siberian Pelmeni (S$12) that is served with a dollop of sour cream for that comforting contrast of flavours.

6. South Latin cuisine

Some of their signatures include Cudo Cado (S$14) made with Cotijia cheese, Warm Crab Queso (S$18), Torched Truffadito (S$27), “Disco” Fries (S$16), and signature cocktails like the saffron-laced Noche Tropical (S$18) to go with your mains. 

End off with their desserts such as the Coconut Tres Leches (S$14), which offers a velvety, tropical coconut flavour that is the perfect balance of sweetness.

Highlights include delicate Turnips with Uni and Horseradish, Scallops with Leeks and Lovage, Halibut paired with Dill and Cucumber, and Chicken with Mizuna and Ramson Capers — finished off with a refreshing Kolakaka dessert. For those craving a little extra indulgence, an additional sixth course of Langoustine, Leek, and Parsley is also available.

Prefer to go À la carte? Dishes include a Waffle with Löyrom (S$32), Toast Skagen with Fermented Turnips (S$28), Wagyu Onglet with Tarragon and Kailan (S$49), and Wild-caught Fish with Potato and Leeks (S$49) — alongside sides like potatoes in brown butter and yeast (S$8), and sourdough served with Norwegian butter (S$10). Feeling full? Dill bad, save room for desserts with options like Svele (S$19) served with Hazelnut Ice Cream or a classic Chocolate Chip Cookie (S$9).

Swensen’s 2026 National Day SG61 Menu reimagines hawker favourites, nostalgic nibbles and beloved beverages into delectable creations like Singapore Laksa Pizza (S$18.61), Swensen’s Shiok Fish Burger (S$16.61), Jumbo Blue Prawn Hokkien Mee (S$18.61), Chilli Crab Soup with Mantou (S$11.61), Muah Chee Waffle with Ice Cream (S$10.61), and MILO Bandung (S$5). 

Singapore Laksa Pizza 

Swensen’s transforms the umami-rich local favourite into a pizza, allowing East to meet West in this unique twist. The pizza features succulent shrimps, fish cake, tau pok, egg, and fragrant laksa leaves topped on a bed of mozzarella cheese for that stretch. 

Swensen’s Shiok Fish Burger

The Swensen’s Shiok Fish Burger (S$16.61) features a golden-battered fish fillet layered with crispy butterhead lettuce and slathered with a creamy secret blend of mayonnaise and tartar sauce, all nestled between soft brioche buns. It also comes with mesclun salad and fries, making this a hearty dish to get your hands on!

Jumbo Blue Prawn Hokkien Mee

Swensen’s combines wok-fried yellow noodles and bee hoon infused with a rich seafood broth in generous Swensen’s diner style. Switching things up, the dish is loaded with a jumbo fresh blue prawn and char-grilled chicken breast, alongside the usual squid, fish cake, egg, bean sprouts and chives. Like the classic, this dish is also served with calamansi and sambal belacan on the side to allow the true flavours to come through.

Chilli Crab Soup with Mantou 

Returning to join this year’s SG61 Menu is the Chilli Crab Soup with Mantou (S$11.61). The dish features a comforting bowl of house-crafted chilli crab soup, simmered with sweet and succulent real crabmeat for a rich, savoury finish. Kicking off the first chapter of this series is the beloved Ka-Soh — a Cantonese-style Fish Noodle Soup establishment that has been serving generations of Singaporeans since 1939.

Tanglin Heritage Series

From 15 July 2026 to 31 August 2026, relive the familiar flavours of Ka-Soh’s Signature Fish Noodle Soup and Prawn Paste Chicken Mid Wings at both Tanglin Cookhouse’s Tanglin Mall and PLQ outlets. Get to also savour other delectable accompaniments by Tanglin Cookhouse alongside these two star dishes.

Ka-Soh Signature Fish Noodle Soup

At Tanglin Cookhouse, taste Ka-Soh’s favourite dishes, which include the famed Ka-Soh Signature Fish Noodle Soup (S$18++). This premium rendition at Tanglin Cookhouse features a comforting broth with pristine, firm slices of grouper in place of the original snakehead, paired with thick bee hoon noodles, Ka-Soh’s hallmark Cantonese-style fish soup, and baby chye sim that adds a touch of sweetness and crunch.

The milky broth is achieved by boiling the fish bone over high heat for hours to form a rich, flavourful emulsion naturally abundant in collagen, calcium and protein, which are known to support healing. After more than a year of experimentation by the brand’s third-generation owner, Cedric Tang, the broth is further simmered with chicken bones, fresh Bentong ginger, white peppercorn and a touch of Shaoxing wine at the end for extra flavour.

Ka-Soh Prawn Paste Chicken Mid Wings

The Ka-Soh Prawn Paste Chicken Mid Wings (S$15++ for 8pcs) are another must-order. The umami-marinated wings are deep-fried till perfectly golden, with an audibly crunchy exterior and succulent meat. It will be served alongside Ka-Soh’s Signature Chilli Sauce, a tangy, citrus-infused chilli sauce that cuts through the savoury, greasy notes. 

The Tanglin Heritage Set Menu, A Set for Two

Those dining in pairs can opt for The Tanglin Heritage Set Menu at only S$58++ (Usual price up to S$93++ for two pax), a value-for-money three-course set that includes other highlights by Tanglin Cookhouse. 

Begin with the Ka-Soh Prawn Paste Chicken Mid Wings 8pcs, served with Signature Chilli Sauce as an appetiser, followed by the first main: a bowl of Ka-Soh Signature Fish Noodle Soup to share.

For your second main, choose between the Tanglin Cookhouse’s local and international selections: Tiger Prawn Spicy Aglio Olio, Basil Pesto Cream Pasta with Grilled Masala Chicken, Tomato Beef Bolognese Pasta, Primavera Vegetable Aglio Olio, Indian Butter Chicken, Vegetable & Mushroom Makhani Curry, or Indian Butter Vegetable with Mock Lamb.

Last but not least, round off your meal with a choice of two desserts: the refreshing Heritage Gula Melaka Sago Pudding and/or the silky Warm Yam “Orh Nee”.
