The exclusive Afternoon Tea will be available at The Tea Room at The St. Regis Singapore from 3 August 2026 to 30 September 2026, featuring flavours that Chef Janice Wong describes as “a love letter” to the flavours she grew up with. The goal was to “transform deeply nostalgic tastes into something refined and yet authentic”.

In this menu, you would find a variety of savoury and sweet treats. Standouts include the Chwee Kueh with Mushroom Broth, a reimagining of the classic steamed rice cakes with chai poh. In Chef Janice Wong’s version, the item is paired with mushroom broth.

The Ginger Sesame Chicken Roulade served on a Potato Blini is another interesting dish that reinterprets Hainanese Chicken Rice. You will get a taste of a beloved Singaporean classic with an afternoon tea twist.

Those of you with a sweet tooth can look forward to new items like the Osmanthus Sweet Bean Pastry, a variation of Ang Ku Kueh. Other sweet highlights are the Kaya and Coffee Entremet, which recreates the traditional breakfast flavours of kaya butter toast and coffee, and the classic Kueh Salat that most would be familiar with.

Can’t get enough of the sweet treats? You can head to the Patisserie from 3 August 2026 to 30 September 2026 to find nine new varieties of chocolate bonbons, also crafted in collaboration with Chef Janice Wong.

Flavours include Chef Janice Wong’s signatures such as Calamansi, Coffee, and Gula Melaka Pandan. Other bespoke creations you can choose from are The St. Regis Milk Chocolate, Dark Chocolate and The St. Regis Tea Blend. Each box of nine is priced at S$36, and can be purchased daily between 9am and 10pm. 

As for The St. Regis Singapore x Janice Wong afternoon tea menu, it will also be available daily during the same period from 3 August 2026 to 30 September 2026, from 3pm to 5pm. Prices for this afternoon tea start from S$65.

National Day Celebrations at the National Museum of Singapore 

Want to appreciate more of our local arts? There will be numerous programmes taking place at the National Museum of Singapore on National Day, too. On 9 August 2026, you can visit the museum to experience interactive storytelling, workshops, live performances, a photography showcase by migrant workers, and more.

This is meant to be a full day of celebrations, culminating in live performances by local acts and a free live telecast of the NDP at the end of the day. The screening will be held on the Museum’s Front Lawn, allowing you to catch the parade under the stars.

Throughout the day, visitors can also enjoy free activities, including the SG: Decoded treasure hunt, keycap keychain making, and The Snapshot Corner photobooth. Entry to all galleries will also be free.

These new dishes are inspired by Singapore’s rich food culture and local favourites, while staying true to Tim Ho Wan’s signature flair. A perfect example of this is the new Bak Chor Rice Rolls (S$9.50), showcasing Hong Kong Dim Sum with a Singaporean twist.

Other items on the National Day-themed menu are Laksa Seafood Dumplings (S$7.90 for 3pcs), ‘Orh Nee’ Salted Egg Sesame Ball (S$7.50 for 3pcs), and XO Fried Rice with Bacon & Luncheon Meat (S$13.90). Just reading this is making us crave for Dim Sum.

Located right outside Exit 1 of Gardens by the Bay MRT Station, The F1 Exhibition is located in a new gigantic structure we can only describe as “cool-looking tents”. These tents would give you a sense of the scale of this exhibition.

Once you’re inside, you will be able to explore seven immersive rooms and zones, covering different aspects of F1. The first that stood out to us was Once Upon A Time In Formula 1, a gallery with displays, cars, and artefacts that will take you from the past to the present of the motorsport. 

Get ready your cameras to snap many photos. Also, if you’re someone who loves to read about the ‘lore’ behind everything, this exhibition will be right up your alley. Almost every display and corner has interesting descriptions, facts, and footnotes for you to learn about how F1 developed into its current form.

For fans of the F1 movie, there is also one surprise waiting for you here. We will not spoil it for you, so keep your eyes peeled!

Two other rooms — Revolution By Design and Design Lab — take you into the inner workings of the F1 car, allowing you to dive deeper into each part. There are even interactive screens that let you take a closer look at steering wheels and how they have evolved.

In fact, these interactive screens are placed throughout the entire exhibition, letting you zoom in on specific cars and parts that you would otherwise never have the opportunity to.

One thing the exhibition does really well is utilising both digital and physical elements to immerse visitors in the world of F1. From actual tyres to engine parts to the iconic Red Bull RB7, you will have plenty to see and appreciate, especially if you are a fan.

After the cars, if you want to get closer to the drivers, you can too. You might not see Max Verstappen or Lewis Hamilton in person, but you can see the equipment that top drivers like them use on race days. 

If you want to know more about some of your favourite drivers’ backgrounds, you might just find some tidbits here and there too. Spare some time for the Drivers & Duels room and get up close and personal with drivers’ helmets, suits, and more. 

You can also activate your imagination and see yourself as a Formula 1 driver on an interactive screen. The onscreen avatar even responds to your movements, so come ready with your very own winning pose. Want to do something with a bit more creativity? Look for another interactive corner where you can design your own driver’s helmet!

The F1 Exhibition also has a zone exclusive to this Singapore edition. Singapore Drive takes you through the most significant moments and personalities in the history of the Singapore Grand Prix, from the first night race in 2008 to the latest.

Before you leave the exhibition, you can also drop by a dedicated merchandise store to purchase some souvenirs. Accessories, apparel, books, posters, and more — there’s a gift for every kind of F1 fan.

Last but not least, if you have minutes and dollars to spare, you should try out the Fastest Lap Simulator Experience. This was easily our favourite part of the entire exhibition, simply because you can get into the cockpit and feel what it’s like to race around the Marina Bay Street Circuit.

The graphics are realistic, and the controls are intuitive. If you have a need for speed, this is for you. Visitors with The F1 Exhibition: Pole Position (S$111) premium tickets will automatically have access to the Simulator Experience.

To commemorate this milestone, Tai Sun will be rolling out a series of celebrations across Singapore, starting with an exciting collaboration with Creamier, another homegrown brand. The result? Two new ice cream flavours inspired by Tai Sun’s snacks, and a range of limited-edition collectables.

Some of us had a chance to visit Creamier at Toa Payoh recently for a taste and preview of these new items. Keep reading to find out more!

2 Limited-Edition Ice Cream Flavours

The highlight of this collaboration is definitely the two new ice cream flavours available at Creamier — Salted Vanilla Almonds and Peanut Toffee. The first combines Madagascan vanilla with sea salt and Nature’s Wonders’ Baked Almonds, while the second mixes buttery toffee ice cream with creamy peanut butter and Tai Sun Roasted Peanuts.

We had a scoop of each flavour, stacked on a waffle, with drizzles of chocolate and caramel syrup around the sides. The Salted Vanilla Almond flavour is the milder one of the two, with a light, sweet and savoury taste. The generous amounts of soft baked almonds in each scoop also create an additional nutty texture — those of you who love some “crunch” in your ice cream would enjoy it.

For those of you who are like us, and enjoy ice cream with richer profiles, the Peanut Toffee flavour is for you. Every small scoop you place in your mouth will give you a burst of caramel sweetness that is equally satisfying and addictive. At the same time, the chunks of roasted peanuts are blended in so well, producing a smooth scoop with layers of flavours underneath.

These new handcrafted flavours will be available at all Creamier outlets from 27 July 2026 for a limited time. If you’d like to bring them home with you, they are also available for purchase in pints. 

Free Mini Pouch Blind Bag

From 27 July 2026, customers who purchase a Tai Sun x Creamier collaboration pint will also get to redeem a free Mini Pouch Blind Bag, while stocks last. Each Blind Bag contains one out of four possible designs inspired by Tai Sun’s iconic nuts. 

These adorable collectables are available for redemption at the Toa Payoh, Punggol, and Tiong Bahru Creamier outlets, as well as at select supermarkets with a minimum purchase of $8 on participating Tai Sun Nuts products. Minimum spending and redemption at these supermarkets must be made with a single receipt, from now till 31 August 2026.

A nostalgic experience

With the limited-edition ice cream flavours and collectables, the Tai Sun x Creamier collaboration is a nostalgic celebration of the snacks many Singaporeans grew up with. Appetisers

For a refreshing starter, order the Chilled Cherry Tomato Marinated with Sour Plum (S$13), especially good as a palate cleanser before the rich, heavier mains. A personal favourite was the Deep-fried “Ngoh Hiang” Roll (S$16) and the Braised Goose Liver (S$38), which paired well with the Braised Tofu and tangy chilli dip. 

Mains

Indulge in the Braised Superior Shark’s Fin Soup (S$62), beautifully galatinous with a silky texture, or if you enjoy the delicacy of Fishmaw, opt for the Teochew Shark’s Fin & Fishmaw in Peppery Soup (S$68). Don’t forget to add a dash of vinegar for a robust flavour profile. 

A classic done right and must-order is the Braised “Kampung Chicken” Seasonal and Marinated with Superior Soya Sauce (from S$22). The savoury depth from the marination brought out the meat’s natural flavour, and the chicken was braised till perfectly tender. If you’re looking for a nostalgic dish that suits the taste buds of younger or picky diners, order the atas Sweet & Sour Iberico Pork (S$30), better known as the popular cai peng (economy rice) dish, Gu Lou Yok, but make it fancy. 

Regulars often pre-order chef’s specials like the Pekin Duck (S$138), Roasted Whole Suckling Pig (S$338), and other dishes not on the standard menu, so it’s worth checking with the restaurant on what’s available when you book. 

We only ordered a Medium portion of Wok Fried “Cai Pu” Kway Teow with Homemade XO Sauce (S$24). A distinct smoky fragrance hits you the moment the plate arrives, and the noodles carry a light wok hei at the edges, balancing out the umami notes. For portions like this, it should comfortably feed at least 4 pax.

Seasonal Vegetables

Turns out the best part of a zucchini isn’t the zucchini at all. A highly recommended dish is the Deep-Fried Zucchini Flower with Fisherman-Style (S$30), which was definitely the star of the show. The taste is much more subtle than the zucchini itself, with a faint vegetal sweetness. The crumbs (shaved almonds and small dried shrimps) were so addictive that this plate of goodness was devoured in seconds. 

Another no cap(page) best veggie dish was the Braised Tianjin Cabbage Roll with Yellow Crab Roe & Meat Stuffing in Spinach Broth (S$14). A refined, comforting dish that balances richness, proving that vegetables can absolutely hold their own on a menu full of bold, savoury dishes.

Desserts

Are you really in a Chinese restaurant if you leave without ending your meal with Chinese desserts? Leave some space in your stomach and try the Steamed Yam Paste with Gingko Nut & Pumpkin (S$5) or Teochew “Tau Suan” with Gingko Nut & Flour Fritter (S$5). 

Lunch seatings are available at 12pm, 12.15pm, and 12.30pm, while dinner seatings are at 6pm and 8pm. Do note that some dishes require one day’s advance order, so it’s best to check with the restaurant ahead of your visit if there’s something specific you’re hoping to try!

The Shiok menu honours flavours that define Singaporean breakfast and coffee breaks by reimagining local favourites you would find at coffee shops. 

Beverages

For those of you who love something a little more ‘traditional’, order a cup of Kopi Siew Dai (S$4.90), which is available now Hot or Iced, in Tall size. This is Starbucks’ take on the classic coffee shop order, handcrafted using 100% Arabica coffee.

If you’d like something to go with the Kopi Siew Dai, consider The Reset Set, which comes with the drink and a Mini Croissant served with either kaya butter or peanut butter. Both variations of the pastry will be topped off with a slab of butter reminiscent of those that can be found in breakfast toast sets. 

Talking about breakfast toasts, one of the most iconic comfort foods for Singaporeans is Kaya Toast. So, Starbucks is also launching Singapore-exclusive drinks — Kaya Toast Latte (S$7.90 for Tall), Iced Kaya Toast Latte (S$7.90 for Tall), and Kaya Toast Coffee Frappuccino (S$8.50 for Tall). 

Imagine your favourite kaya toast, recreated as warm and cold drinks. These beverages will combine Starbucks’ signature coffee with velvety milk and rich kaya notes, as well as buttery croutons at the top. Every sip will be a celebration of a Singaporean flavour that can only be described as shiok.

As if the drinks are not enough, Starbucks is also introducing a variety of pastries to complete the Shiok line-up. This includes a Chicken Char Siew Puff (S$6.50), Cempedak Tart (S$6.50), and Kaya Pistachio Cake (S$8.50). 

The latter is definitely a perfect treat to have during a midday break if you need something sweet to brighten your day. With its light yellow-and-green aesthetic, fragrant pandan kaya, and nutty pistachio sponge, it will be a pleasant refreshment for your taste buds and soul.

Some local favourites will also return as part of the Shiok menu, namely the Nonya Curry Chicken Prata Pie (S$7.90) and Kueh Salat Cheesecake (S$8.50). Don’t miss these nostalgic local-inspired treats.

Merchandise

Other than introducing the Shiok menu’s food and drinks, Starbucks has also recently been expanding its range of merchandise that reflects Singapore’s unique cultures. For instance, the Peranakan Collection is adorned with recognisable tile patterns, pastel colours, intricate motifs, and other details across a range of products.

Another collection that just screams “Singapore” is the Retro Colourways Collection. Drinkware like mugs and bottles, and everyday essentials such as reusable bags and tote bags take on a look inspired by iconic HDB void deck tables and chairs.

We dropped by to check out the new space and its tenants, and were treated to some delicious surprises. Keep reading to see our highlights. 

Vendors with Michelin Bib Gourmand

Food Republic at Jewel Changi Airport features four tenants with Michelin Bib Gourmand awards. According to the Michelin Guide, this award is given to restaurants and hawkers that “serve exceptional food at great value”. 

We had the pleasure of tasting all four stalls that have earned this recognition, but our favourite will definitely be Na Na Homemade Curry · Peranakan Cuisine. The 10-year Michelin Bib Gourmand recipient’s Chicken Curry Set served with Rainbow Bread (S$11.90) kept us asking for more.

On first taste, the curry immediately hits — with savoury goodness and spice. The chicken is also tender, easy to debone, and flavourful. Usually, such chicken curry sets are served with white bread or rice. But the unique Rainbow Bread that comes with this particular set pairs surprisingly well with the curry. It is the perfect balance of soft and crispy, and comes in bite-sized pieces too.

Other Michelin-approved dishes include Shui Kueh from Jian Bo Shui Kueh (S$4 for 5pcs, S$6 for 8pcs), Steamed Grouper with Thai Sour Chilli (S$16.90) from MP Thai, and LiXin’s Signature Noodle (Dry, S$8.90) from LiXin Teochew Fishball Noodles. If any of those appeals to you, check them out for yourself when you’re there!

Local and global flavours

Another dish we greatly enjoyed was the House Special Four Treasures Claypot Rice (S$12.80) from Ai Shan Claypot. The stall might not have won a Michelin Bib Gourmand award, but they have definitely won our hearts and taste buds. 

When the claypot first arrived, we were too busy taking photos of the food at our table and forgot one important step in eating claypot rice — stirring and mixing. By the time we lifted the lid and were ready to dig in, we were expecting the rice to be stuck at the bottom and completely burnt.

However, that was totally not the case at all. The rice was relatively easy to “scrape” off the bottom and was perfectly cooked, having a consistent, crispy crust. It was also still moist, thanks to sauces that were added into the pot. 

The taste of this dish also matched its look and feel. If you noticed, the claypot rice comes with half a salted egg, which we decided to mix into the rice as we stirred it. This added another layer to the already taste-packed dish, filling our mouths with flavour with every bite.

Ai Shan Claypot actually hails from Hong Kong, so its opening here at Food Republic marks its debut in Singapore. What a deliciously strong start.

After all the rich and hearty food, you would definitely be looking for something sweet. And there are plenty of options here at Food Republic at Jewel. The highlight for us would be White Chendol (S$5) from Dessert Heaven. You can expect common chendol toppings like red bean, sago pearls, attap seeds, and gula melaka.

However, white jelly replaces the usual green jelly, giving this version of the beloved dessert a unique aesthetic. We found the White Chendol to be just sweet enough without being overwhelming. 

The drinks stall, Toast Today, also serves a unique Singapore Slushie (S$4.50 for Small, S$5 for Large). If you’d like a refreshing thirst quencher that answers the question, “What if the Singapore Sling cocktail was non-alcoholic?”, this is for you. Every sip comes with distinct notes of pineapple, lime, cherry and grenadine. 

A recreation of 1970s street dining

Beyond the food and drinks, the reopening of Food Republic at Jewel also introduced a refreshed space that transports you back to the 1970s of Singapore. At every corner of the 500-seater food atrium, you will find neat details and realistic props that harken back to an era when communal street dining was commonplace. 

Recreations of hand-drawn signs, pushcarts, stray cats, street vendors and more will immerse you in a part of our local history that is as iconic as the food it produced. Spot the numerous photo spots throughout the entire space and snap some pictures for memories! Those who grew up during the 1960s and 1970s will surely find this nostalgic.

Special deals & collectables

If you’re planning to visit this new Food Republic, we recommend doing so in July. To celebrate its opening, the food atrium will be hosting special promotions and activities for diners. For instance, on every Friday in July, from 10am onwards, diners can purchase a cup of Hot Kopi or Teh at just S$0.70. Only the first 100 cups purchased each day will be eligible for this promotion.

From now till 31 July 2026, spending a minimum of S$18 in up to two combined receipts will also allow you to redeem a limited-edition postcard. These postcards come in a retro design inspired by the rich heritage of our local streets and can be posted directly from Food Republic at Jewel to anywhere in the world.

Diners will also be able to redeem a stamp, a scent tag, and a S$2 voucher along with their postcard. After 31 July 2026, the postcards can be purchased at S$1 each without the other collectables.

The ultimate HoYoverse convention & event

Held at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre’s Hall 403, HoYo FEST 2026 is a full-scale convention dedicated to HoYoverse games. Fans can look forward to activity booths, exclusive merchandise, experience zones, and more!

Experiences & activities

One activity you’ll find at HoYo FEST 2026 is the Stamp Rally. Simply collect any stamp along your journey at the convention hall, and you will be able to redeem a free HoYo FEST-themed instant photo at the Photo Booth.

There are also Game Booths where you can participate in game-themed activities to earn even more freebies! This includes Genshin Impact’s ‘Speedy Collector’, in which you will collect Moonfall Silver to redeem a random Character Peel-Apart Film.

Honkai: Star Rail’s ‘Aha! I Remember!’ is an activity that will test your memory. Look at pictures on the wall, memorise them within 10 seconds, answer questions correctly, and you will be able to get a random Themed Card.

Exclusive merchandise

Of course, when it comes to such conventions, you can expect exclusive merchandise. At HoYo FEST 2026, you will be able to purchase limited-edition merchandise for Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and Zenless Zone Zero.

Ticket sales

Tickets for HoYo FEST 2026 will go on sale on 16 July 2026 at 11am. There are three kinds of tickets available for purchase. The 1-Day Pass (S$16) gives you unlimited access to the event for a day. The 3-Day Pass / Full Event Pass (S$35) gives you unlimited access to the event throughout all 3 days of its run. Holders of either ticket will be able to enter the venue at 12pm.

If you’d like priority access to the event, which starts an hour earlier at 11am, you will need the 1-Day Fast Pass (S$50). On top of giving you unlimited access for a day, this special pass will also get you priority access to Experience Zones, Game Booths, and the HoYo FEST Photo Booth. 

Upon completing tasks at the Check In Zone, you will also be guaranteed freebies. The 1-Day Fast Pass also comes with a HoYo FEST 2026 Exclusive Commemorative Passport, Exclusive Lanyard with ID Holder, Exclusive Hologram Ticket, Exclusive Paper Bag, and Lucky Draw Ticket.

That’s right, there is a Lucky Draw at HoYo FEST 2026. Stand a chance to win the top three prizes, which include an ASUS Gaming V16 Laptop, an iPad Air, and a Sony PlayStation 5 Slim (Disc Edition). 

To have a shot at this Lucky Draw, you need a Lucky Draw Ticket, which can be obtained by purchasing a Fast Pass or for every S$20 spent at the Merchandise Store. Winners will be announced on the last night of the event on 2 August 2026.
