The folks behind Gourmet Park Resorts World Sentosa, Singapore’s largest food truck and container park, is back with their latest venture, one that aims to rekindle the kampong spirit.

Running from now till end December 2024, the Gourmet Park Kampong Bugis Pop-up is located at the ground level of 66 Kampong Bugis, the idyllic space formerly occupied by the iconic Camp Kilo and Raw Kitchen Bar, or what I deem a “lush garden oasis”.

Seriously, it’ll really make you feel like you’re not in Singapore. Oh, and did I mention that it’s also pet-friendly?

They’ve brought together a diverse mix of five brands offering elevated yet accessibly priced fare, so you’ll be able to explore different cuisines all in one place.

Firstly, The Goodburger will be doling out their signature plant-based burgers that taste just as good as the real deal — I kid you not.

You won’t go wrong with The Classic (S$16), which sees an Impossible Meat patty, cheese, pickles, and a house-made sauce on soft and fluffy buns, served alongside crispy fries. Feel free to go for The Big Boy (S$22) if you’re more of a double patty kinda person.

Otherwise, go down the fancy route with The Black Tie (S$18), which is jazzed up with truffle aioli and rocket.

Here’s a brand you’ll probably recognise: Meatsmith. The wildly popular smokehouse along Telok Ayer Street has rolled out a selection of barbeque signatures that’ll have any carnivore grinning from ear to ear.

There are smaller plates for sharing, like the Pork Belly Burnt Ends (S$13) and Pork & Jalapeno Sausage (S$11), but you absolutely cannot miss out on the 14-hour smoked Meatsmith Beef Brisket (S$24), which boasts tender, fatty meat and an incredible char.

Italian food enthusiasts are also in for a treat, as Quattro has got you covered with its line-up of Neapolitan-style pizzas ranging from crowd favourites like Margherita (S$22) and Mushroom (S$28) to Garlic Prawn (S$30) and Spicy Sausage (S$28) for those who prefer a punchier bite.

If it’s pasta you’re after, you have options like Meatball (S$26), Carbonara (S$22), and even the Green Goddess (S$24), a fresh and summery pea pesto-based pasta that’s served cold.

I highly recommend the Cacio e Pepe (S$22), which sees perfectly al dente malfadine (a type of ribbon-shaped pasta) tossed in parmesan, pecorino, and black pepper — creamy, cheesy, and oh-so slurp-worthy.

Those who can never resist a hearty brunch can check out Breakfast by Carnaby, a new British concept by Chef Adam Penney of Potato Head Folks and Three Buns fame.

Fuel up with the Full Monty (S$32), a full breakfast platter; fluffy Buttermilk Pancakes (S$14) slathered with smoked butter and organic maple syrup; or the Sausage Butty (S$19), comprising pork sausages, egg, mustard, and onion marmalade sandwiched in between two burger buns.

Got a raging sweet tooth to satisfy? The Boozy Toast (S$17), which stars alcohol-spiked berry compote and whipped cream on sourdough French toast, is the picture of decadence.

Carnaby will be officially launching at Robertson Quay in Q3 2024, so stay tuned!

For dessert, end the evening on an extra indulgent note with a daily selection of Brownies (S$12 with vanilla ice cream) from Backyard Bakers AKA the original creators of the viral Blackout Brownies.

If you’ve never had blackout brownies, which are soft, fudgy, and dense on the inside, it’s high time you gave them a try.

In search of a post-work or weekend tipple? Take your pick from a selection of wines, beers, and garden-inspired cocktails (all S$22) like the Garden of Eden, Kampong B Mojito, and Aperolicious Spritz.

Sounds exciting? That’s not even the half of it, as you can also look forward to upcoming events like weekend grill-outs featuring chef collaborations, pop-up parties, and experience-driven programmes.
