Calling all supper-goers. Adding to the ever-growing list of ice cream parlours in Bedok is Lunar Ice, a late-night ice cream bar that opens till 2am.
Visit at night to fully experience the futuristic moon theme — the storefront is flanked by luminous glowing orbs that make for a cool photo op.
Awash in futuristic blue lighting, the interior is relatively minimalist, save for an all-too-relatable neon sign and moon lamps at every table.
Prices for a scoop of ice cream start at S$4 (Classic), available in flavours like Cookies & Cream, Mao Shan Wang, and Yuzu. We’ve also heard great things about the Vanilla, the OG flavour you absolutely can’t go wrong with.
Pair your dessert with a selection of coffee, beers, or wine; pop by during Happy Hour (3pm–7pm) for buckets of Asahi or Hoegaarden beer at just S$34 (U.P. S$44).
But if you’re hankering for something aside from the usual ice cream and waffles, go for one of the unique sundaes or dessert platters.
Signatures include the Thai-inspired Jai Yen Yen (Thai milk tea ice cream is definitely a crowd favourite) and Thai Coconut Ice Cream. If the kids are tagging along, look no further than the Fondue You, a fun ice cream platter served with fruits and chocolate fondue for dipping.
Wanna go all out? Round up the gang and tackle the Whack AH. Encompassing multiple scoops of ice cream, waffles, cookies, and an array of colourful toppings, it’s a dream come true for anyone with a major sweet tooth.
With so many late-night dessert options to choose from, including this buzzy new spot, the residents of Bedok really ought to count themselves lucky.
