I don’t know about you but I love myself a good BBQ platter. The best combination is BBQ meats with a pint of ice cold beer. One of my go-to places to enjoy some hearty meats is Meat N’ Chill.

Kick off your hearty feast with some truly American side dishes like Grilled Pineapple, Truffle Fries, and grilled bread. But one of the dishes that really stole my heart was the Mac n Cheese. I’ve had my fair share of overly dry or cloying mac n cheese, but this variation was the perfect blend of cream and cheese, complemented with the smokiness of the bacon bits.

Another showstopper was the Sausages which were super juicy and very flavourful. While it might look very unassuming when it comes served on a platter, the juices will explode in your mouth as you bite into them. The Grilled Prawns were also fresh and had a nice citrusy flavour to them.

The highlight of the feast was definitely the hearty mains. The Picanha had a rich flavour with the correct fat-to-meat ratio. The fat melts in your mouth and blends well with the tender and juicy meat centre. You are recommended to pair it with the red wine sauce for an added touch of sweetness.

The Striploin Steak was a nice thick and juicy cut. We called for medium-rare — the only way you should enjoy steak — and was in awe of the beautiful pink-ish centre. The steak was juicy, with a nicely grilled crust and tasted best when paired with the mushroom and/or red wine sauce.

The Beef Brisket was another surprising contender for me. I typically avoid eating beef brisket because I’m not someone who enjoys eating the extra thick layer of fat. But this 14-hour smoked beef brisket was truly a game changer, as it boasted a melt-in-your-mouth texture and a nice meaty flavour, without being too gamey or overpowering.

But of course, you can’t have a barbecue buffet without a slab of ribs, and boy did I thoroughly enjoy Chef Bruce’s Signature Ribs. They’re made using a special marinade that was slightly sweet with a hint of herbs, yielding flavourful, fall-off-the-bone tender meat. I will definitely be making my way back to devour more of those sweet, tender and juicy ribs.
