Wanna hear something so obvious it’ll make you roll your eyes?
Singaporeans love Japan.
Whether it’s the mouthwatering cuisine, rich culture, attractions or the favourable exchange rate, there are countless reasons why we’re itching to catch the next flight to the Land of the Rising Sun.
And, it’s no longer just Tokyo that’s enjoying the spotlight among tourists these days. Other cities including Osaka, Kyoto and Sapporo are all drawing their own share of attention.
If you’re planning to travel to Osaka anytime soon, you’re in luck as a popular Japanese budget airline is making its debut in Singapore for the first time ever.
Peach Aviation is the budget-friendly wing of All Nippon Airways (ANA) and is based out of Kansai International Airport in Osaka.
By launching a direct Singapore to Osaka route, they’re so far the sole Japanese airline to offer this sweet connection.
In case you’re unaware, Scoot is the only other low-cost airline to offer a similar service.
Other Japanese budget airlines like ZIPAIR and Air Japan only operate flights between Singapore and Tokyo.
Opting for Peach Aviation means you’ll be flying on an Airbus 321LR, a sleek single-aisle aircraft with a three-three seating layout and a total of 218 seats.
Sure, the aircraft might be on the smaller side, but with a 32” seat pitch, they’re better than most low-cost carriers. Plus, every seat comes with a USB charging port, so you can keep your devices juiced up during the flight.
Prices are competitive with other low-cost airlines and you can choose from three fare categories: Minimum, Standard and Standard Plus. Each option caters to different needs, whether it’s seat selection or baggage allowance.
Regardless of which option you choose, you’ll be entitled to two carry-on bags, weighing up to seven kg in total.
Craving a snack or a hot meal? You’ll have to purchase those on board as they aren’t included with any fare type. But hey, it’s a chance to treat yourself mid-flight, am I right?
I did a little digging and discovered that you can snag a flight from Singapore to Osaka for as low as S$164.20 — now that’s what I call a steal!
Starting December 5th, you can catch a flight from Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 2 at 2.15am, landing in Osaka by 9.35am — just in time for breakfast in Japan.
On the other hand, the return flight takes off from Osaka at 6.50 pm, bringing you back to Singapore at 1am the next morning.
