With 50 outlets across the island, Mr Coconut is one homegrown brand we’re all very familiar with. I mean, it’s hard to resist their iconic coconut shakes, especially on those annoyingly hot days.
Good news for those staying in the Northeast: the folks behind the popular coconut beverage chain will be opening a dine-in cafe, Three Little Coconut, at One Punggol on 11 November 2023.
You can look forward to an array of unique coconut-inspired creations, in both dessert and beverage form, that’ll delight even the most passionate of coconut fanatics.
Firstly, take your pick from coconut-inspired cheesecakes in flavours like Mango Sticky Rice, Ondeh Ondeh, and even Cendol, a cendol-flavoured burnt cheesecake with green cendol jelly bits, sweet red beans, and coconut sauce. If you prefer to play it safe, the Original Coconut Cheesecake comes layered with crushed butter cookies.
Fans of Korean desserts will enjoy the Croffles, which come with the option of a gula melaka or chocolate drizzle, as well as the Coconut Bobochacha Snowy Ice, an icy cold treat comprising coconut and sweet potato sauces drizzled over creamy shaved ice.
If you like traditional Chinese desserts, the Signature Coconut Tang Shui series will be right up your alley. The Peach Gum Coconut Tang Shui, for instance, is composed of silky peach gum jelly in a sweet and refreshing coconut soup topped with red dates and goji berries.
For something a little more indulgent and creamy, the Coconut Avocado Tang Shui and Coconut Mao Shan Wang Tang Shui has avocado and MSW durian blended into the soup respectively.
Otherwise, it’s hard to go wrong with the Coconut Jelly, Coconut Pudding, and Coconut Ice Cream, which comes with a choice of toppings ranging from sweet potato balls and earl grey jelly to mango cubes.
