This local farm lets you experience strawberry picking for the first time in Singapore

by June Ngooi

Forget the almost eight hour drive to Cameron Highlands, now you can engage in strawberry picking right here in Singapore and even bring them back home!

Yes I can almost see your skeptical faces through the screen with a look that practically screams, “But how? SG weather so hot”

Well, if you have not heard of Blooom Singapore, now is the time to change that. It is a farm that prides itself in its sustainability and artificial intelligence (AI) technology-assisted tools when it comes to growing crops.

And their efforts did bear fruit in this initiative because their strawberries just look so beautiful!

Let’s be real, we all know how hard it is to find sweet strawberries in Singapore because due to the humid climate here, it is difficult to grow them and we have to rely on importing them in. Their freshness loses its quality in freight, and we are stuck with a slightly sour tinge with most of them.

Now, you get to participate in Singapore’s first fresh strawberry picking Harvest Experience that Blooom is offering.

From just S$38, you can spend 45 minutes picking as much strawberries as you can fill in your basket.

The best part? You get to bring back all the strawberries you can fit in there!

Blooom has premium seasonal strawberries that come in red, pink, or white. These climate-resilient byproducts of the farm are berry sweet and their timely freshness is something that other imported strawberries cannot compare.

Oh, and did I mention that Blooom’s package also includes an audio-guided tour?

Simply keep an eye out for the special QR code to scan and enjoy the adventure you’ll experience as you pick your strawberries.

You are also able to pre-order your strawberries on the website if you cannot find the time to head down!

A little tip from me: if you are planning to visit the farm, don’t forget to mask up within the premises so that the freshness of its crops can be maintained.

Booking the tickets is as simple as heading to Blooom’s official website and making a reservation there.

So, what are you waiting for? Make this a next date idea or even a family outing that everyone is able to enjoy alongside strawberries.
