Racers, start your engines!

That’s right, Formula 1 fans, the Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix might only be taking place in September, but we are already gearing up for the race with an exciting line-up of activities to rev up your engines for the actual race.

RevUpSG will be taking place from now until September and will feature complimentary activities like go-karting competitions, behind-the-scenes tours and more. Die-hard F1 fans, I hope you’re as excited as I am for this!

If you’ve ever wondered what goes on behind-the-scenes during the race, well, you’re in luck because RevUpSG is giving you the chance to go behind-the-scenes with an exclusive tour of the F1 Pit Building

You’ll even get a sneak peek of some highly-restricted areas along the Marina Bay Street Circuit as well as the Race Control Room and Media Centre. There’ll be an opportunity to snap some pics at the podium, so make sure to strike your best poses

There’s even a Pit-Lane Walk for you to walk the actual grounds where famous racers like Lewis Hamilton, Michael Schumacher and more tread.

For something a little more thrilling that will send your heart racing, the #RevUpSG Karting Challenge is just the thing for you. The karting challenge will be taking place from 3 to 4 August at The Palawan @ Sentosa HyperDriveyup, that super cool indoor go-karting circuit.

There will be two categories — one for those aged between nine and 17, and another for those aged 18 and above

Much like the actual F1 race, the top 10 racers from the qualifying round on 3 Aug will return to battle for a spot on the podium on 4 Aug. The top three racers in each category can stand to win exclusive tickets to the Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix 2024 as well as exclusive Red Bull merch and The Palawan @ Sentosa vouchers!

The challenge is open to all locals who must be at least 140cm tall. Think you have what it takes to win? Put your pedal to the metal and register for this race.

The behind-the-scenes tours, pit-lane walk and the karting challenge require tickets which you can ballot for here. Balloting is open now until 14 July 2024, so hurry and secure your spot now!

But of course, if you didn’t manage to secure any tickets through the ballot, fret not because there’s also gonna be pop-up festivals taking place at several heartlands in Singapore.

The RevUpSg festival will be taking place on three weekends from 27 July to 1 September 2024, and you’ll be able to participate in interactive activities like racing in an open-cockpit vehicle and even gain a sneak peek into some of the official Singapore GP merch!

You can even get a quick workout in with the pedal to power slot cars, which — as their name suggests —will require you to put your leg strength to the test. I hope you didn’t skip legs day for this.

There’ll also be live-screenings of the Belgian, Dutch and Italian Grands Prix — you definitely do not wanna miss out on those.

The RevUpSg Festival will be taking place at Suntec City on 27 and 28 July, followed by One Punggol on 24 and 25 August. The festivities end at Toa Payoh HDB Hub on 31 August and 1 September

If you’re as excited as I am to try your hand at any of these activities, make sure to save these dates!

I don’t know about you but I’m always so excited when the F1 season rolls around, so I can’t wait to check out everything that RevUpSG has to offer!
