I’m a huge fan of thrifting.
My family is big about handing down clothes so about half of my closet are pre-loved items. To some, it may sound like a fashion nightmare. However, this has sparked my love for thrifting and the thrill of finding unique pieces.
Lately, I’ve been on the lookout for a new thrift spot and THRYFT Hub is one that I have been eyeing. Previously an online haven for the tech-savvy, THRYFT Hub has since opened its first physical outlet filled with a curated selection of pre-loved books, clothes, and vinyl records.
Now, with the opening of its location in Tiong Bahru, we are able to shop a compiled selection in person. While THRYFT Hub is best known for its preloved books and clothes, my heart is drawn to the prospect of vinyl records. I’ve been wanting to start a collection for ages, and this could be my push to finally start collecting them.
Time for a fun fact, THRYFT Hub is actually Singapore’s largest sustainable thrift store! It was a passion project by a group of students who wanted to share their love for thrifting but has since turned into a full-blown venture. Honestly, I wish I could have been as creative as them when I was still schooling.
Looking to declutter your wardrobe? Consider trading in your pre-loved items and you get THRFYT credits instead. Items accepted are books, clothes, vinyl records, and console games. It’s a win-win situation, getting to clear your closet and splurging on secondhand goodies guilt-free. Like they say, good things shouldn’t only be loved once.
