Who would have thought that Vietnam, known for their cuisine and coffee, would rise up to become a fashion capital?
They have yet to host a fashion week but seeing how their homegrown fashion brands are captivating fashionistas all over the world, I’d say it’s in the cards. Some of these trendsetters include Olivia Rodrigo, Beyoncé and BLACKPINK, so it’s no wonder these labels have gained a considerable following.
It’s also worth mentioning that Vietnamese fashion is simply appealing af. At a time when almost everyone wants to dress like they belong in a Kpop group, these clothing brands have come through with their ever-so-stylish styles.
With Singaporeans’ kiasu nature (don’t be offended, it’s true), we obviously had to jump onto the trend and it seems that a certain brand has taken notice.
Cara Club is one of the most popular Vietnamese fashion brands, so much so that they have multiple outlets throughout the country. This is in stark contrast to other brands, which usually have just one or two stores.
Previously, the only ways to get our hands on their clothes were by booking a flight to Vietnam (not the most practical) or through their Shopee store.
There’s no longer any need for that as you can now drop by their physical outlet at Bugis+, so say goodbye to second-guessing your clothes size.
Just in case you’re wondering, this is their flagship store in Singapore and their very first international outlet — how exciting is that?
Cara Club applies a socially focused design to their retail spaces and their outlet here is no different. While you might first get overwhelmed by how many clothes there are (keep your wallet in check!), you’ll soon notice that the store layout promotes an immersive shopping experience.
At the moment, you can treat yourself to their new summer collections: The Debut, Cara’s Tournament and 45°C, all of which lean towards y2k and sporty styles.
I can see the 45°C series being especially popular as the clothes allow you to achieve the ‘model-off-duty’ look.
All in all, Cara Club’s clothes offer a wide variety of styles trendy among the young crowd, ranging from girly girl to streetwear and edgy. There are also some elegant and timeless pieces thrown into the mix, suitable for work or internships and school.
Guys, y’all aren’t missed out as their collections include menswear as well. The store has a dedicated men’s section where you can find all your pieces neatly displayed.
Unlike many Vietnamese clothing brands, Cara Club is refreshingly size-inclusive, offering clothes in sizes from small to extra large.
Another great thing is that their clothes are pretty affordable. Expect to fork out around S$20 to S$30 for tops, S$40 to S$50 for dresses and S$40 to S$60 for bottoms.
I guess it’s time to add some Vietnamese flair to your wardrobe!
