Want to skip all the trouble of camping for a table at the crowded IKEA food hall? IKEA Singapore has opened a new Swedish Bistro at its Tampines outlet at the car park for a quick grab and go.
Located on level 1, it’s never been more convenient to dabao a serving of their classic meatballs — or 10 — to go when the cravings hit.
It’s as easy and hitting some buttons on the order kiosks or snack vending machines and you can be on your merry way, without the hassle of fighting for seats.
Not only can you find the IKEA classics at the Swedish Bistro, but you can also get your hands on some of their newest, hottest creations.
Of course, the quintessential order would be their Swedish Meatballs (S$5/6pcs) or Plant Balls (S$5/6pcs) which are conveniently packaged in cups so you can dig in on the go.
Best of all, IKEA Family members are entitled to a deal exclusive to the Swedish Bistro for S$3 Swedish Meatballs or Plant Balls from 9 Sep 2021 to 19 Sep 2021. You can sign up for free here.
Some new items on the menu include the Gourmet Hotdog with Nacho Cheese (S$3) and Veggie Hotdog with Nacho Cheese (S$1.50). If you loved chomping on their hotdogs as is, imagine it improved with rich molten nacho cheese sauce now.
Other new items IKEA rolled out at the Swedish Bistro also include Swedish Beef Pie (S$5), Country Chicken Pie (S$4.50), Chicken Skewers (S$3.50/2pcs, S$7/4pcs), and Curly fries with nacho cheese (S$3.50) — all hearty items you can pig out on while on the move.
But perhaps the item that’s got us most excited is the new Blueberry and Banana ice creams (S$2). It’s a choice between separate cones or both swirled together in a blue-yellow tornado that will probably look great in a photo against the facade of the IKEA outlet.
