Each pastry is lovingly crafted by a team of talented female Japanese pastry chefs who combine seasonal ingredients with traditional Japanese-style crafts and techniques.

Their doughnuts are made fresh daily with dough infused with Japanese pumpkin puree. These treats aren’t just sweet, they’re also healthy.

We got KOKO’s Curry Doughnut (S$5) to try out. Fried to crispy golden perfection and stuffed with mild Japanese curry chicken, I can see why this is the signature.

Strawberry Shortcake (S$10) was straight out of a slice-of-life anime. This perfectly cut cake isn’t just pretty. It’s light, fluffy, and sweet without being over the top.

Okinawan Rum Chocolate Sand (S$8) is heaven for dark chocolate lovers. A rich and dark treat (Siri, play BMF by SZA), this was pretty indulgent with a fun rum twist.

Yam Mont Blanc (S$7) has dense yam cream sitting prettily with a tangy berry puree in the middle, and a crisp meringue base creating the perfect harmony.

Chef’s kiss.

Choux Puff Matcha (S$5), piped with matcha custard packed a strong punch of flavour. Non-matcha lovers, proceed with caution.

The Apricot Almond Mousse (S$9) was a combo of airy sponge, almond mousse, and apricot puree wrapped in a cacao butter shell.

Blue Pea Caramel Latte (S$7) is a safe but slightly adventurous option. It has that hint of blue pea syrup for that hint of earthiness after that strong caffeine hit.

Kurogoma Ice Cream Milk Float (S$9) was a stunner.

Thick, creamy black sesame ice cream atop silky milk was an unexpected combination that tasted velvety smooth. The taste of the milk alone deserved its own flowers.

KOKO keeps things simple yet memorable. Each bite feels intentional, with every flavour well-balanced.
