The Singapore Army’s uniforms just got a streetwear upgrade thanks to this local fashion designer, with a collection featuring military-inspired oversized tees, accessories and more

As a certified girly girl, I just gotta say it: the Admin tee is ugly. Yes, I know it’s comfortable and oh-so cooling for our humid weather but guys, it doesn’t hurt to put in more effort in your dressing at times.

Even the Singapore Army themselves have understood the assignment as they’ve collaborated with a local fashion designer to take their uniforms up a notch. Of course, these fashion items won’t replace the actual uniforms but they’ll certainly be a cool addition to any closet.

AMOS ANANDA, a Singapore-based streetwear label known for partnering with big names like KFC, Tiger Beer, and Barbie, is now bringing their signature utilitarian vibe to our military uniform.

With the Singapore ARMY X AMOS ANANDA collection, you can look forward to three staple products: a Baseball Shirt (S$89), 01 Tee (S$69), and Bucket Hat (S$39).

The unisex Baseball Shirt is crafted from lightweight polyfast dry fabric, so you don’t have to worry about feeling stuffy. Although the shirt skips the camo print, this makes it super versatile and easy to accessorise or pair with just about anything in your wardrobe.

We can’t leave out the Admin tee in this conversation, so it should come as no surprise that the designer has included a fresh take on one of Singapore’s most recognisable t-shirts. The 01 Tee swaps out the familiar green for a stylish grey acid wash.

Both these shirts come in sizes from small to extra large.

Complement these shirts with the Bucket Hat, which is also available for children. The hat is decked out in army tags and comes in a neutral brown shade.

All these items are available for purchase on AMOS ANANDA’s website here.

Even though these items clearly aren’t meant for the outfield, you can still wear them to ‘battle’ as you brace through the crowded streets of Singapore.
