We all miss flying and thank goodness that travel is finally back — but have you ever wondered what it’s like to fly while in the pilot’s seat? Get a taste of what piloting might feel like at the Air Force Museum. Here’s where you’ll be able to try out the flight simulator and see fighter jets up close. The museum’s huge multimedia flight simulator gives you the rare chance to test out your piloting skills.
See how well you fare at steering a plane, and try your hand at executing combat flight manoeuvres. The simulator’s realistic panoramic screen will certainly make you feel like you’re in the pilot’s seat. Plus, the museum is absolutely free, so you won’t need to pay to have a go.
Aside from the flight simulator, you’ll also be able to take a close look at real fighter jets, helicopters, missiles, and anti-aircraft systems that are on display at the museum. If you’ve ever been curious about the inner workings of a plane, you’ll even get to peek into the cockpit and the wirings of the aircrafts.
The space is also filled with interactive displays and multimedia stations where you’ll learn more about the history of the Air Force. There are also 3D models of the different fighter jets, as well as a simulated interior of the Hawker Hunter aircraft — a single-seater fighter jet from the Cold War era.
So if you like aircrafts or if you just want to see how good you might be at flying a plane, drop by and give piloting a shot!
