Brandy Melville has made a comeback in Singapore with a two-storey space filled with aesthetic clothes and accessories like the viral Italian charm bracelets and more

It was simply a rumour spreading around social media that Brandy Melville is returning to Singapore. Nothing was truly confirmed until sharp-eyed fashionistas spotted job postings for Singapore-based retail employees.

That put the rumours to rest but a countdown soon began as to when the popular American fashion brand will make their long-awaited presence on our shores once again.

In case you’ve forgotten, Brandy Melville unfortunately left Singapore in 2020, closing their only outlet in ION Orchard.

Looks like there’s a huge demand for them as the brand has finally made a comeback. However, this time at Peranakan Place Complex in Somerset, located just a few blocks down from their original spot.

Compared to their former space, which was rather cramped (relying on my memory here!), this new outlet is huge. I’m talking two-storey building with a ‘grand’ staircase in the middle kind of huge.

Brandy Melville certainly didn’t invent the ‘coastal grandmother’ and ‘Y2K teen’ aesthetics but they helped make them more mainstream and accessible for the Gen Z crowd (myself included).

So, look forward to many tank tops, denim shorts, maxi skirts and babydoll dresses in all kinds of designs and colours. They’ve always been known for their muted colour scheme, and our collection is no different.

A few sweaters and knitted cardigans are also thrown into the mix, suitable for when aircon weather hits.

For all my fellow coquette girlies, get ready to swoon over lace tops, ribbon-adorned pieces and delicate dresses — all in the sweetest pastel hues that’ll make your heart skip a beat.

The clothes are undeniably cute but I feel it’s important to point out that there’s no sizing range — a criticism that Brandy Melville has gotten flack for.

Regardless, their clothes are affordable, with a price range between S$20 and S$40 for tops and S$40 to S$60 for bottoms.

If the clothes don’t catch your eye, no worries as you can still snag some of their adorable accessories!

I’d personally run towards the jewellery section as they’re no doubt one of the few places in Singapore selling the viral Italian charm bracelets. Their versions are sadly not customisable but they’re still irresistibly stylish.

Complement your outfits with other accessories such as hair bands, hats, necklaces, socks, belts and many more.

There are even tote bags, coin pouches and pencil cases which you can use for school and work. Of course, they’ve a range of baguette bags to choose from as well.

Once you’ve checked out your purchases, remember to grab a few of their free stickers (a tradition they’ve continued!) before leaving the store.

Any items you’ll want to put in your cart?
