So what does the Dyson CameraJet actually do, and is it worth it over a regular toothbrush or other electronic toothbrush? Well, it’s a toothbrush with a built-in camera for viewing, gap finding, jet washing, liquid flossing, mouthwash dispensing, technique teaching, live streaming, plaque blasting, and precision cleaning. How Does It Work?

After 6 years of research, development, and engineering, Dyson has produced their very own toothbrush with a camera. The key functions of Dyson CameraJet consist of Gap Optical Targeting, Conical Jet, Anti-Gravity Tank, Charging Dock, Dual Bristle Brush Head, and Variable Sonic Oscillation. The CameraJet uses a built-in micro-camera to show you exactly where plaque is hiding, especially in the gaps between teeth that brushing alone tends to miss or sides that are harder to reach with a regular brush. The Dual Bristle Brush Head removes stains and reveals brighter, whiter teeth. Paired with a targeted jet stream that’s gentle on your gums and enamel while removing plaque. 

Dyson Toothpaste & Mouthrinse 

Dyson has also engineered a complete dental system with toothpaste and mouthrinse containing sodium fluoride to fortify enamel and strengthen teeth, alongside phosphates and xylitol to target the bacteria source of plaque and tartar. The toothpaste comes in 2 flavours – Spearmint & Ginger Mint for S$15 and Peppermint for S$18, and the Spearmint & Ginger Mint mouthrinse for S$15.

Most toothpaste foams up and blocks your view. Dyson’s toothpaste formula does the opposite and stays out of the way so the camera sees clearly, with a low-foaming, antibacterial mouthrinse to use with the precision jet. 

Connectivity 

The Dyson CameraJet is a Wi-Fi and Bluetooth-connected device. Its integrated camera is a high-quality endoscope for users to observe what a dentist sees through the live-viewing feature in the MyDyson app. The app permits users to access guided cleaning, brushing and flossing insights, coverage mapping, personalised feedback, and many other interesting functions. 

Availability 

The Dyson Dental System will be available at all Dyson Stores across Singapore and selected electronic retailers from 2 September 2026 onwards, for S$699. The system comes with the Dyson CameraJet toothbrush, charging dock, 2 brush heads, and Pogo Cable. Festival of Thrills at Resorts World Sentosa

From 1 September 2026 to 1 November 2026, Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) is hosting a Festival of Thrills, inviting visitors to unleash the thrill-seeker in them. This season, RWS transforms itself into a destination filled with exciting experiences, including gastronomic dining, after-dark adventures, limited-time rewards, and more.

The first that stands out to us is Into the Glowcean, an experience open at Singapore Oceanarium from 5 September 2026 to 1 November 2026. This takes your visit to the Oceanarium to the next level with after-dark moments, allowing you to see the waters and their inhabitants in a new light. 

As the name suggests, you will be able to observe glowing marine life sculptures, among other activities like neon-face painting. Into the Glowcean requires a standard admission ticket (S$55 for adults) to the Singapore Oceanarium; for more information on what else to expect, visit the attraction’s website.  

The annual Halloween Horror Nights also returns to Universal Studios Singapore as part of Festival of Thrills. For some, getting a good scare is the best kind of ‘thrill’, so you can totally look forward to this if that’s your vibe.

Singapore River Festival 2026

Returning for its 10th edition, the Singapore River Festival 2026 is a celebration of the people, places, and stories that have defined the Singapore River. Dubbed The Quay Collective, this event, which will take place from 11 to 20 September 2026, is bringing together immersive experiences, performances, and activities around the Singapore River. 

The festival will take place across 3 zones: the Entertainment Zone @ Boat Quay, Expression Zone @ Clarke Quay, and Lifestyle & Wellness Zone @ Robertson Quay. Each location will have its own flavour and energy, breathing extra life into the area over 10 days.

For instance, at the Entertainment Zone @ Boat Quay, visitors can transport themselves through time with The River Echo Chambers, a captivating 8-minute projection show on heritage shophouse facades. Through ‘portals’, cinematic visuals, and an original soundtrack, you will journey through the past, present, and future of the Singapore River.

At the Expression Zone @ Clarke Quay, another immersive experience featuring lights, colours, and sound will also come alive. Located at Read Bridge, The River Rhapsody even allows festivalgoers to influence the show with gestures and motions.

Avengers Endgame: Encore

The most anticipated movie in the rest of 2026 is probably Avengers: Doomsday. The Avengers movie – the first in 7 years – will be released on 17 December 2026 here in Singapore. 

And there is no better time to prepare for it than in September, because Marvel has announced that it will bring the last Avengers movie, Avengers: Endgame, back to theatres on 24 September 2026.

Titled ‘Avengers Endgame: Encore’, this seems, for the most part, to be Marvel’s way of building excitement for Avengers: Doomsday, while reconnecting audiences to the movie franchise. This is especially for those who have yet to catch up with the series since 2019’s Endgame or are new to the MCU.

This re-release of Endgame will be shown in IMAX and Infinity Vision screens and give audiences an early look at exclusive footage from Avengers: Doomsday. For me, this is definitely an experience worth going to the theatre again for.

Sanrio characters Moonlit Garden at VivoCity

We’ve mentioned RWS’s Festival of Thrills, but the nearby VivoCity is also buzzing with Mid-Autumn festivities. If you’re a fan of Sanrio characters like Hello Kitty, Kuromi, and Cinnamoroll, you will definitely have lots of fun here. 

That is because the shopping destination has transformed into a Sanrio-themed land, with a Moonlit Garden and Kuromi Carnival Kingdom. Located at the Sky Park on Level 3, you will find towering character displays and light installations that are perfect for photos.

This includes the rare Egyptian Blue Lotus, once buried alongside pharaohs. This limited-time flower exhibition started on 21 August 2026 and runs for only a month, until 27 September 2026.

Held at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre’s Hall 403, HoYo FEST 2026 is a full-scale convention dedicated to HoYoverse games. Fans can look forward to activity booths, exclusive merchandise, experience zones, and more!

Experiences & activities

One activity you’ll find at HoYo FEST 2026 is the Stamp Rally. Simply collect any stamp along your journey at the convention hall, and you will be able to redeem a free HoYo FEST-themed instant photo at the Photo Booth.

There are also Game Booths where you can participate in game-themed activities to earn even more freebies! This includes Genshin Impact’s ‘Speedy Collector’, in which you will collect Moonfall Silver to redeem a random Character Peel-Apart Film.

Honkai: Star Rail’s ‘Aha! I Remember!’ is an activity that will test your memory. Look at pictures on the wall, memorise them within 10 seconds, answer questions correctly, and you will be able to get a random Themed Card.

Of course, when it comes to such conventions, you can expect exclusive merchandise. At HoYo FEST 2026, you will be able to purchase limited-edition merchandise for Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and Zenless Zone Zero.

Ticket sales

Tickets for HoYo FEST 2026 will go on sale on 16 July 2026 at 11am. There are three kinds of tickets available for purchase. The 1-Day Pass (S$16) gives you unlimited access to the event for a day. The 3-Day Pass / Full Event Pass (S$35) gives you unlimited access to the event throughout all 3 days of its run. Holders of either ticket will be able to enter the venue at 12pm.

If you’d like priority access to the event, which starts an hour earlier at 11am, you will need the 1-Day Fast Pass (S$50). On top of giving you unlimited access for a day, this special pass will also get you priority access to Experience Zones, Game Booths, and the HoYo FEST Photo Booth. 

Upon completing tasks at the Check In Zone, you will also be guaranteed freebies. The 1-Day Fast Pass also comes with a HoYo FEST 2026 Exclusive Commemorative Passport, Exclusive Lanyard with ID Holder, Exclusive Hologram Ticket, Exclusive Paper Bag, and Lucky Draw Ticket.

That’s right, there is a Lucky Draw at HoYo FEST 2026. Stand a chance to win the top three prizes, which include an ASUS Gaming V16 Laptop, an iPad Air, and a Sony PlayStation 5 Slim (Disc Edition).

This is no ordinary LAN shop or Internet cafe, but a venue built around modern entertainment, premium hospitality, and community experiences. It is fitting that this new flagship outlet is located where a Haidilao restaurant once stood, as Elixir Esports similarly prides itself on providing top-tier service and experiences.

We toured the new space at its grand opening, and now we can’t wait to visit again with all our gamer friends! Keep reading to see what you can look forward to here.

Stepping into Elixir Esports, the first thing that caught our eyes was this glass display of gaming peripherals, with rows of keyboards, mice, headsets, and controllers available for purchase. But what struck us next was how spacious, bright, and sleek the entire space is — a far cry from the dark, rowdy, and sometimes dirty LAN shops of old.

As the name suggests, Elixir Esports mainly hosts PC stations for solo or multiplayer gaming sessions. However, that’s not all that they offer, because the space also houses billiard tables and a foosball table. There is even a VIP room that you can book for private events.

Now, for the main highlight — the private gaming rooms. At this new flagship outlet, Elixir Esports has equipped every room with PCs powered by the latest hardware. This includes NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti and 5070 graphics cards. 

Depending on the group size you are gaming with, you can also choose from different rooms, from Solo to Couple to Party Rooms. Party Rooms are for a group of five, perfect for competitive games like Valorant and DotA 2.

There are also a couple of new room variations exclusive to Elixir Esports at CQ @ Clarke Quay — Premium Solo and three-person rooms. Premium Solo rooms are larger than the standard Solo rooms and come with dual-monitor set-ups for customers who need that extra productivity and space.

No matter which room you choose, you will have access to high-performance machines, in-room amenities, and comfortable chairs with leg rests. Blankets will keep you comfy, while alcohol swabs can be used to maintain hygiene. Give the equipment like headsets, keyboards and mice a quick wipe before and after you use them!

For rooms that have windows, there are also automated, voice-activated curtains you can control to keep sunlight out or let it in. Yes – you heard us right. If you’d like to give it a try, just ask the staff for the exact voice commands. 

You can also call the staff straight from your seat, whether you need technical assistance or help with adjusting the room’s temperature. Feeling hungry? You can order food and drinks directly from a menu and have it delivered to you too. 

If you’re already sold on Elixir Esports, plan a LAN party with your friends and visit their latest location at Clarke Quay soon! You might also want to do it this week, as this outlet is hosting a Free-to-Play event from now to 9 July 2026.

Ultimate Edition exclusives

GTA 6 looks to be one of the most expensive games to make and own. Priced at S$136, the Ultimate Edition unlocks an additional S$27 worth of content, which is mostly centred around cosmetics and items that should not affect the core gameplay and experience much.

Based on the official GTA 6 website, these items will also need to be unlocked as you play the game, so don’t expect to access them immediately from the beginning. Keep reading to see if the Ultimate Edition is worth getting for yourself.

Premium vehicles & modifications

One of the main highlights of the Ultimate Edition would be access to a handful of exclusive vehicles. This includes a mid-90s-inspired sports car, an army-themed motorbike, an off-road vehicle, a luxurious motorboat, a personal kayak, and more.

Additional modifications will also be available only to Ultimate Edition owners, through exclusive Mod Shops and Mod Kits. These will allow you to add on more personal touches to your cars and express your personality beyond what is available in the base game.

Exclusive stylings & customisation 

Talking about personal touch, it is obvious that GTA 6 will feature deep character customisation, allowing players to create their own version of the game’s dual protagonists. Jason and Lucia might be the main characters, but it is the player who will shape their look, choices, and story. 

With the Ultimate Edition, you will be able to access more outfits, hairstyles and weapon skins for the duo. Certain hair salons and clothing stores will also only be ‘open for business’ for owners of this edition of the game. 

Pre-order bonuses

Purchases of GTA 6 before 20 November 2026 will also come with bonuses, regardless of whether you get the Standard Edition or Ultimate Edition. 

Aptly named the Vintage Vice City Pack, these bonuses harken back to the neon-soaked heydays of the game’s main location. This includes a classic sedan, an exclusive garage, retro outfits and hairstyles, and a weapon pattern that pays homage to the city’s original kingpin.  

Return to Vice City

GTA 6 is developed by Rockstar Games, best known for its Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption video game series. These games are critically acclaimed and commercially successful, and are considered some of the best games ever made.

Rockstar’s games usually feature sprawling open worlds to explore, filled with detail and activity. The gameplay is also usually highly immersive, complemented by high-fidelity visuals and a gripping main story.

This latest instalment of the GTA series will take players back to the iconic location of Vice City, which first made its debut in 2002’s Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and was last seen in 2006’s Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories. After 20 years, players finally get to see a modern, expanded version of Vice City and its surroundings.

Rockstar Games describes GTA 6 as “the biggest, most immersive evolution of the Grand Theft Auto series yet”. And as the name of the series suggests, players can expect GTA 6 to take freedom of gameplay to the next level once again. 

In usual GTA fashion, it will be a crime-centred story and adventure, where high-octane car chases, high-stakes heists, and intense shootouts are just one part of the experience. Based on the screenshots and information released so far, it is safe to say that you will have access to a variety of other activities. 

Racing, off-roading, flying, scuba-diving, kayaking, hunting, wrestling a crocodile — if you can think of it, it’s probably doable in GTA 6. If you’ve never heard of Walking Charlie, or just vaguely know about it, allow us to tell you more about our latest obsession.

Charlie

Meet Charlie. Everyone who uses Walking Charlie has one of their own. It is your digital avatar that reflects how much you have walked recently and how ‘fit’ you are. Charlie starts out a little chubby, but will slim down or gain weight, depending on how active you have been.

This is achieved by Walking Charlie tracking your steps; the more you walk, the healthier Charlie will appear. Walk enough steps, and Charlie will even have abs. 

Missions and Rewards

To motivate you to stay active, Walking Charlie also has weekly and daily Missions for you to complete. These usually require you to hit some walking goals, but may also include tasks you can complete by interacting with other features of the app. 

Completing these Missions will reward you with Stars, Badges, and Donuts. Stars and Badges are more for your own sense of accomplishment, and so you have something to flex to your friends about. Donuts, on the other hand, are what you will need to dress Charlie up!

Customise Charlie

One of the most appealing aspects of Walking Charlie is the wide variety of customisation options for your avatar, complemented by a pleasant and cute pixel art style. Within Charbucks, which is the item store in Walking Charlie, you will find all kinds of costumes, outfits, and decorations to express yourself and make your Charlie unique.

There are even animals and pets you can give Charlie, as well as backgrounds you can place all of them in. All you need is enough Donuts to purchase them all. Time to start walking!

Build a Charlie Town

Here’s what makes Walking Charlie even more fun and interactive than your average step tracker. You can also use your Donuts to build a Charlie Town with friends! Yes — you can create Houses and add Friends to them, or join someone else’s House. 

Whoever is in the same House can choose to deposit their Donuts and together progressively upgrade their House and its capacity. You will start out with a small tent before upgrading to a trailer, inn, and bigger houses.

There is also a separate Footprint feature that allows you and your friends to share photos of your walks with one another.

We are pretty sure that some of you are already convinced and downloading Walking Charlie as we speak. Just one more thing before you go — make sure to use a friend’s referral code when you sign up to get extra Donuts for a head start!

Ahem, for those of you doing last-minute packing right now, we hope this helps!

1. Power banks

Yes, this is incredibly basic. But you don’t want to be the guy that rushes out of the house, travels all the way to the airport, boards the plane, then realises you forgot to bring a portable charger for your 10-day trip. 

You’ve worked hard to earn your holiday; don’t waste your first spending at your destination on unnecessary items you could have prepared prior. Also, if you’re bringing power banks, remember that you can now only bring a maximum of two on flights departing from Singapore.

They must also be placed in your carry-on baggage, and cannot be checked in at the airport. You are also not allowed to use or charge your power banks during your flight. Lastly, if you’re flying to China, only power banks with the China Compulsory Certification (CCC) mark are allowed. 

2. eSIM

This is usually the item many travellers think about last, or only when it hits them that they can’t access the Internet at their holiday destination. However, having mobile data is so important in our ever-connected world. 

Many of the services we need to access through our phone during our travels also require mobile data. So don’t leave it to the last minute; purchase an eSIM before you fly and simply activate it when you land. That’s one thing less to worry about.

Speaking from personal experience — you never know who else on your trip might need it. 

4. Vacuum compression bags

This is a real travel hack — especially for those of you constantly struggling with luggage space. We are all too familiar with that feeling of starting a vacation with relatively light luggage, but ending with one that is bursting at the seams. 

Most of the time, this is the result of all your used clothes packed into plastic bags, plus all the goodies and souvenirs you got during the trip. Vacuum compression bags (paired with good packing skills) are a lifesaver that helps to alleviate this issue.

These bags usually come with a pump that sucks out all excess air, ensuring that your packed clothes take up as little volume as possible. They come in different sizes and can also be purchased at quite an affordable cost, depending on where you buy them from.

5. The right clothing

This one’s a given, and most of you are probably over-prepared in this department. But it never hurts to have a friendly reminder, right? If you’re heading somewhere cold, pack something warm. And if you’re heading somewhere warm, pack something cooling.

Singaporean guys, this is your time to shine with your UNIQLO wardrobe too. Show them the power of AIRism and HEATTECH. Just make sure you grab the right piece for the right climate. And bringing along a windbreaker or waterproof jacket will never be a bad choice. 

6. Camera (with sufficient storage)

What’s a holiday if you can’t keep the memories? If you didn’t take a photo, did it really happen? For those of you who own a camera, now is the time to sharpen those photography skills and take vibey pictures of your trip and of your friends.

But even if you don’t have a dedicated camera, we all have cameras in our pockets these days. Yes, I am talking about your iPhones and your Samsung Galaxies. Smartphone cameras have come a long way since their initial inception. 

With the right lighting and editing, photos taken on your phone can even compare to shots taken on digital cameras. The most important thing, no matter which you use, is to make sure you clear up space for all the new photos you’re going to take.

You don’t want to have to stand in the middle of a public space, clearing your iPhone storage, just so you can continue taking photos of the scenery in front of you (speaking from personal experience again).

7. Headphones

This seems like common sense, but we’ve all left home without our headphones or earbuds before. Going on a train ride without music is already a pain sometimes, but imagine a long flight where you can’t tune out of your surroundings just because you forgot to bring along your audio devices.

If you’re someone who plans to listen to music or watch your downloaded Netflix shows on the plane, remember to pack your in-ears or headsets!

8. Small bag (to keep valuables close)

No matter where you’re travelling to, and for how long, one thing you will always need is a small bag. This could come in the form of a crossbody bag, a sling bag, or even a tiny backpack. 

Having one allows you to navigate the airport and explore your destination comfortably without extra weight, while still carrying your passport, boarding passes, cash, and other valuables safely.

If you can, definitely invest in an anti-theft bag, which will usually feature cut-resistant fabric and lockable zippers.
