Let’s face it, sometimes we all need a furry friend to cuddle if only to better manage the stress in this city.
For those (like me) who do not have any furry children of our own, the existence of animal cafes is a complete lifesaver.
By now, there has been no shortage of pet cafes — for both felines and dogs — in the world and if you’ve found yourself exploring most of the cafes in Singapore (like me, again), then consider setting your sights across the border.
Corgi Talk Cafe is a cor-geous corgi haven nestled at a comfortable spot in Eco Botanic, Johor Bahru. If you’re in the area, it’s definitely hard to miss!
It is the second storey you’ll want to pay attention to because that’s where the cor-go (cargo anyone? haha) is. There is an open space just dedicated for these floofballs to run free and even a mini stage with steps for many photo taking opportunities.
There’s at least ten of those corgis (along with a resident husky!) vying for the humans’ attention so don’t worry about feeling left out because one of them will definitely be snuggling up to you on the hunt for some treats.
Speaking of treats, I would have loved it if we got to feed the little ones but unfortunately treats aren’t allowed for the corgis here at Corgi Talk Cafe.
But just one look at them trotting their cute and furry behinds is enough to make me overlook the absence of treats.
With the entry tickets from just S$7.40 (RM26) per adult, and S$5.15 (RM18) per child, you get to choose from a selected number of complimentary drinks! Their sparkling drinks in flavours such as Peach, Orange, Grape, Grapefruit, or Mango.
However if you’re looking for the full experience of both the cafe and the corgis, the Happy Package is definitely one you should go for.
From S$10.88 (RM38), you get one main and one drink, on top of the access to the corgis on the second storey.
And if you’re wondering: some of their mains include Shrimp Aglio Olio and Tomato Pasta. So rest assured, both your taste buds and your soul will be in for a treat!
I should also mention that each entry ticket is a 60-minute session on weekends and a 90-minute one on weekdays. This way, you can maximise the amount of quality time you plan to have with the corgis.
Although walk-ins are allowed, you may also book your reservations by contacting Corgi Talk Cafe via WhatsApp to avoid disappointment.
Will you be embarking on your next paw-some adventure with these lil furkids the next time you’re in Johor Bahru?
