Looks like the lala hotpot trend won’t be dying out anytime soon as we keep making our way to Johor Bahru for our delicious lala fix. However, this also means braving the crowds of diners like yourself at some of the more renowned restaurants.

Miijii Hotpot may not garner the same level of popularity as other hotpot restaurants in JB but they still offer a delicious hotpot experience with an impressive selection of ingredients.

Plus, they’re located at Mount Austin, so feel free to refuel here after a pampering session at one of the many nail or massage salons nearby.

For RM68.90 (S$21.02) per person, you can have your lala flambeed with Chinese wine right in front of you. Do note that since Miijii Hotpot isn’t a lala-specific hotpot restaurant, the dish is served in a typical metal pot rather than a claypot one.

Nonetheless, they more than make it up with their unlimited servings of seafood, meats, vegetables, sauces, snacks and desserts. Seafood enthusiasts can look forward to savouring flower crabs, prawns, and oysters, while meat lovers can enjoy classic options like beef, pork slices, lamb, and tripe.

Is your dining partner not in the mood for a lala hotpot? No worries! There are other soup bases as well, such as Tomato, Collagen, and Mala. In fact, their mala broth comes in the form of a cute teddy bear, which sits on a ladle contentedly as you dig into your meal.

These soup bases are priced from just RM56.90 (S$17.36) per person.

So, why not try something new and treat yourself to a hotpot feast at this hidden gem in JB?
