Move aside, crookie (the viral cookie croissant), there’s a new hybrid pastry in town.
Enter the Macroissant, a cross between a macaron and a croissant, the brainchild of Nasty Cookie, the popular halal bakery best known for their chunky NY-style cookies.
Come 21 June 2024, you’ll be able to get your hands on the unique creation: a buttery, flaky croissant with a cream filling and a crunchy macaron top.
There are three flavours to choose from, so fans of the classics can go for the Straight Up Vanilla, which comes stuffed with a vanilla ice cream-flavoured filling.
Alternatively, the black-and-white Double Trouble features cookies and cream — a dynamic duo of flavours you can never go wrong with.
The third and final flavour, Fruity Queen, is extra special, comprising a “fruity” raspberry orange filling, crowned with a pastel blue-pink macaron top in celebration of Pride Month.
Not only are these quirky pastries sure to be a hit with sweet toothed folk, but they’re also incredibly IG-worthy on the inside and outside, so get your phones ready!
All macroissants are priced at S$8.50 each and are available exclusively online, which means that orders have to be placed via their official website. Do note that delivery slots are limited, so we recommend not hesitating if you’d like to snag a couple.
