Singapore’s highest panoramic rooftop bar is ultra-vibey, futuristic-themed and lets you party the night away with signature cocktails, fusion bites and more

by Sheree Chua

Who says Singapore’s nightlife sucks? Despite our size, we boast an impressive portfolio of internationally recognised bars and nightclubs, alongside an ever-growing list of parties, concerts and music events.

Sure, I agree our public transport could run later into the night but beyond that, I’d consider Singapore to be a paradise for seasoned party-goers and night owls.

I’m unashamedly one of those who love to party the night away every once in a while and it seems that I’ve found a new spot for drinking and dancing!

Enter NOVASingapore’s highest panoramic rooftop bar that sits above 282 metres above street level. NOVA steps in to fill the shoes of the beloved (and dearly missed!) 1-Altitude at One Raffles Place, determined to live up to its iconic predecessor.

After you’ve ascended to Level 63, you’ll be greeted by the breathtaking views of the Singapore skyline. Isn’t it strange how we’re always amazed by the beauty of our own city, even though we see it every day?

Well, to be fair, it’s not every day we get to admire it from 63 floors up!

The main attraction at NOVA is ASTRA. You won’t miss it as this massive star-shaped structure by Kuala Lumpur-based artist — Jun Ong — instantly catches your eye. Plus, it sits just above the DJ booth.

Which reminds me — you’re probably wondering about the music here, right?

While you can look forward to curated programs weekly, the music is generally an eclectic mix of House (my personal fave!), Afro Beats, Urban Groove, and World Beats — all delivered through a state-of-the-art sound system.

Some of these programs feature popular artists like local darling Jasmine Sokko and Wildealer, who has performed in iconic venues in Ibiza and Amsterdam.

However, at the end of the day, NOVA is more of a sophisticated bar than a full-fledged nightclub. So, expect the food and drinks to be thoughtfully crafted and served to a certain degree.

Before hitting the dance floor, fuel up with its culinary offerings showcasing a blend of Asian and Western flavours. Think along the lines of Tom Yum Fries, Indonesian-style Noodles, and NOVA Pau (which, like you, I’m curious to try).

Pair these delicacies with signature cocktails like the Mango Sticky Highball, Triple LimeSling, and Roselle.

If you’re ready to elevate your nightlife game (literally), you know where to go.

Ready to dance among the stars?
