Get tipsy on KOI’s new VSOP Ruby and Rum & Raisin Earl Grey alcoholic BBT

Want something to get over those dreary workdays? Consider Signature KOI’s new alcoholic bubble tea flavours. A marriage of sweet bubble tea and hard-hitting alcohol will be sure to lift your mood.

I’m talking about the recently announced Rum And Raisin Earl Grey and VSOP Ruby alcoholic bubble tea flavours from Signature KOI.

Both flavours will be available at all Signature KOI outlets starting from 1st March 2021. Time to mark that down on your calendars, bubble tea lovers.

Singaporeans love bubble tea, so it makes sense to try out many new combinations with it.

When it comes to KOI, Earl Grey is one of their most popular flavours. So many bubble tea lovers would fall in love with the Rum And Raisin Earl Grey (S$9.60) alcoholic bubble tea..

For this, KOI adds a shot of dark rum to Earl Grey milk tea, then finishes it with a decadent rum and raisin ice cream. Customers also get a free topping of choice from their classics like konjac pearls and coconut jelly.

If you want a stronger dose of alcohol than the 2% in KOI’s Rum And Raisin Earl Grey, additional dark rum shots can be added for only $2.

Alternatively, KOI also has a VSOP Ruby (S$14.90) alcoholic bubble tea available for those feeling a bit fancy.

KOI uses a potent mix of VSOP brandy and their aromatic Sun Moon Lake black tea to concoct this drink. Similarly, the alcohol content will only be 2%.

Unlike the Rum and Raisin Earl Grey, KOI isn’t offering toppings for the VSOP Ruby, wanting the drink to be drunk as is.

If you want to go really baller, just drown your drink in VSOP brandy shots, each reasonably priced at only $3. There’s also strangely an option to have this in hot or cold, for those that want warm brandy-infused bubble tea.

This isn’t the first time Signature KOI has ventured into alcoholic bubble tea. They had previously released a Baileys Earl Grey alcoholic bubble tea as well for Christmas.

Both flavours will only be available in one size.
