Singapore’s newest Children’s Museum is packed with exciting activities and interactive exhibits like a sensory play area, garden maze & more

Get ready for hours of fun at the new Singapore Children’s Museum, opening this weekend! With lots of kid-friendly activities like immersive theatre shows, garden mazes and sensory play areas, it’s time to let your child’s imagination run wild.

The museum is divided into different themed areas, taking visitors through Singapore’s history in an engaging manner. Match the spices to their corresponding dishes, explore an old ship, and wander a garden filled with things to explore.

While more suited to ages five and up, the Play Pod offers a sensory playground for children aged two to four, with crawl spaces, toy vegetable harvesting activities, and soft surfaces the kids can explore.

Older kids can explore the museum’s exhibits, with an animated theatre show, getting to ‘cross a stormy sea’, and ‘fishing’ for objects as you embark on a journey to the kampong days. There’s an actual ship you can climb into and pretend you’re captaining it, or play interactive games in the projection of the Singapore River.

Step into a vibrant, bustling marketplace of the 60’s, recreated so the kids can pretend to be shop owners, learn more about life in the past, and even try being a street barber or letter writer. Parents can relive the good ol’ days, and share a little of their childhoods with their kids.

There’s even a colourful section on birthdays (and your kid can be a pretend chef) and how different cultures celebrate them. You can’t miss the giant life-sized birthday cake, perfect for a photo op or two.

Finally, end off your visit in a learning ‘garden’ where you can play scavenger hunt games and wander a maze while exploring the many activities and interactive things you can do here.

There’s also workshops you can attend during their opening festivities from 17 to 18 December, so don’t miss those either!
