Brought to you by a trio of local craft beer sellers, Smith Street Tavern is a unique six-week British pub pop-up serving up an authentic taste of the UK, one pint of beer at a time, in the heart of Chinatown.
Located just a few stalls down from Smith Street Taps, Smith Street Tavern will showcase some of the finest British craft beers you can find in Singapore, which will be available on rotation throughout the pop-up.
Making an appearance on the taps are some popular craft beer labels such as Tempest, BEAK, Polly’s, and Overtone. Don’t know where to start? Fans of fruity beer must try the smooth and tangy Vault City Brewing’s Cloudy Lemonade.
Vault City’s Triple Fruited Mango Sour is another noteworthy mention, due to its refreshing and bright taste. However, if you’re looking for something on the lighter side, you can try the Shifting Baseline Pale Ale from Duration, an easy-to-drink pale ale with stone fruit and mango notes.
Those who enjoy rich dark beers must try Peanut, Cacao, Banana Imperial Stout from North x Neon Raptor, which bears bold chocolatey flavours.
Apart from a healthy selection of British craft beers, the folks at Smith Street Tavern have also brought in some British snacks to pair with your booze. Enjoy some Black Country crispy pork scratchings, Smith’s bacon fries, and scampi fries while you chug down your ice-cold beers.
Coming up in the next few weeks are some exciting collaborations like the Pie and Beer Night, where you’ll get to try British-style pies with locally-inspired fillings like Beef Steak Rendang and Pork Belly — best enjoyed with beer, of course!
