Tim Hortons has launched their world’s first-ever Tims Signature in Singapore with outlet-exclusive Pasta Bakes, donuts and speciality coffee, on top of a craft bar and more

by Sheree Chua

It hasn’t even been a year since Tim Hortons arrived on our shores and they already have not one, not two but eight stores.

The latest one is extra special and I can’t help but feel a little proud that our tiny (but mighty!) country has managed to earn this honour.

Tims Signature, as the name suggests, offers a more elevated coffeehouse experience than usual and the world’s first has launched in none other than Singapore.

Located on the ground floor of 313@somerset, Tims Signature is, as of now, our largest Tim Hortons outlet.

Not only are there more seats (what we’ve all been wishing for) but also more food offerings, specifically a range of outlet-exclusive Pasta Bakes.

These Pasta Bakes include Pesto Cream Chicken & Mozzarella (S$10.90), Beef Ragu Bolognese (S$10.90), and Truffle & Smoked Chicken Carbonara (S$10.90).

The last one is by far my favourite — rich and cheesy yet not too heavy that it leaves you feeling jelak. I can see myself digging into this if I want a satisfying yet balanced lunch.

For something more on-the-go, opt for the Sourdough Melts. I went for the Maple Glazed Chicken Ham & Cheese (S$9.90) and Pesto & Mozzarella (S$9.90).

The former was definitely more filling (thanks to the rich honey mustard mayonnaise), while the latter was lighter on the palate, offering a tangy kick from the pickled red onions.

Ok, I gotta admit I’m biased towards Tim Hortons. I simply love their coffee-based beverages and I’m glad to see that their consistency holds strong here.

In fact, the coffee at Tims Signature is even better, offering diners the added perk of choosing from various coffee brewing methods and beans at the Craft Bar.

If you’re a coffee connoisseur like me or prefer your coffee black, you’ll love having the option to choose between two outlet-exclusive beans: Colombia and Mexico Light Roast.

However, you can always keep it safe by getting their signature espressos and iced cappuccinos. I got myself the Maple French Vanilla Iced Capp (S$8.40) — the maple syrup was sweet but not overpowering at all.

Of course, I had to accompany my coffee with Tim Hortons’ iconic donuts. With their Honey Cruller (S$3.50) and Apple Fritter (S$4) already being crowd-favourites, it’s only natural they’ll take these flavours to the next level.

Tims Signature is the only outlet where you can get their Maple Crumble Apple Fritter (S$4.90) and Belgian Chocolate Cruller (S$4.90). They’re rich and decadently indulgent, so you might want to pencil in that gym session afterwards!
