This new Downtown East carnival has bouncy dino inflatables & Uncle Ringo rides

by Vera

Phew, it’s been a hot minute since we last attended a carnival of any sort. The name “Uncle Ringo” might even start to sound like a distant relative, you know, the one whom you visit only once a year in hopes of an ang pow increment every time. But lucky for D’Ultimate Xcape, Downtown East’s newest free-to-enter carnival, the next trip isn’t too far away.

Uncle Ringo stans might recognise classic rides like the Meteorite, Viking Ship, Spinning Tea Cup, and Swing Chair. Though if you’re like me and absolutely cannot deal with being swung about like you’re a wrecking ball, they’ve also got the more palatable Waddle Boat that won’t threaten your lunch coming back up.

Tickets for Uncle Ringo’s carnival rides range from S$5 to S$10 each, and can be purchased individually.

Here’s where you’ll get to meet the chonky Dinos of D’Ultimate Xcape — Stanley, Charly, Britney, and Tricia. Regardless of your age, these friendly giants await you with open arms — or should I say bouncy grounds —for a time of good fun with friends and family.

Tickets for the bouncy inflatables range from S$8 to S$12 each.

Carnival Games

By a stroke of sheer luck, I managed to get a ring around a bottle neck in a game of ring toss during the Prudential Carnival a couple of years ago and won myself a teddy bear as big as myself. Now, I’m passing over the chi, good vibes, and luck over to you for D’Ultimate Xcape’s carnival games that will have you putting every motor skill to the test.

Prices for Ultimate’s carnival games range from S$5 to S$10 each.

Neon Art Installations

As if the aforementioned attractions weren’t enough for the ‘gram, catch these neon installations at night for a bangin’ new profile picture shoot. Luminous coloured lights line the sides of 40-foot containers in what we’d most definitely call modern art.

Container Hotel

All that, and more? You ask. SG Hotel on Wheels is a special container hotel with themed rooms for a fun staycation in the East, or when you just want to retire for the night after a day at the carnival.
