When gamers can instantly recognize Sephiroth just by the first few notes of his character theme song, One-Winged Angel, it is undeniable that FINAL FANTASY’s soundtracks are iconic masterpieces.
Guess what? Singaporeans can finally enjoy FINAL FANTASY’s soundtracks live after six years of waiting, as Distant Worlds: music from FINAL FANTASY, the official symphony concert tour, is returning to The Star Theatre on 6 October 2023!
The concert will bring you on journey through 14 FINAL FANTASY games, with highlights such as:
- FINAL FANTASY I-VI: Battle Medley
- FINAL FANTASY VIII: Eyes On Me, performed by Susan Calloway
- FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE: Those Chosen by the Planet
- FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE: Stand Up
- FINAL FANTASY X: Suteki da ne, performed by RIKKI
- FINAL FANTASY XIV: Dragonsong, performed by Susan Calloway
- FINAL FANTASY XIV Stormblood: Triumph
- FINAL FANTASY XIV Shadowbringers: Invincible
It will be a dream come true for me to hear Suteki da ne being performed live by RIKKI, the original vocalist for FINAL FANTASY X. FINAL FANTASY XIV original vocalist Susan Calloway will also be making an appearance on stage to perform Eyes on Me and Dragonsong from VIII and XIV respectively.
Leading the Distant Worlds Philharmonic Orchestra & Chorus will be GRAMMY Award-winner Arnie Roth, who will ensure the music composed by Nobuo Uematsu and Yoko Shimomura receives the justice it deserves.
The music will be accompanied by a giant screen showcasing clips from the FINAL FANTASY games, taking the audience on a nostalgic journey through beloved moments from the iconic gaming series.
Singapore is the only Southeast Asia stop in the world tour, so you can expect fierce competition for the tickets.
Tickets go on sale on all Ticketmaster platforms on 1 August 2023, 10am. Do note that there will be a S$4 booking fee in addition to the ticket prices, which are as follows:
