A la carte platters aside, the eatery in Kim San Leng Food Centre is best known for its all-you-can-eat buffets, serving as a popular haunt for residents of Yishun ever since its opening in 2020.
There are two wallet-friendly All-Day Buffet options to choose from — the Protein Buffet (S$14.90 per adult, S$9.90 per kid), and the Seafood Buffet (S$19.90 per adult, S$14.90 per child).
The Protein Buffet features an array of meats which Family Mookata is known for, namely pork and chicken marinated with Mala, Tom Yum, Garlic, and even a special Thai-style sauce. Grill up your meats of choice alongside a selection of vegetables, rice, noodles, and standard processed ingredients like Cheese Tofu and Luncheon Meat.
If you’re the type who enjoys the luxury of having both meat and seafood options, the slightly more premium (yet still incredibly bang for your buck) Seafood Buffet comes with free-flow seafood such as Baby Lobster, Flower Crab, Scallop, Lala, and Oyster Meat. The best part? You only need to pay an extra S$5.
But of course, those who prefer not to stuff themselves silly can choose from the a la menu, which includes a Meat Lover and Seafood Lover Platter.
Reservations are recommended, especially if you are dining in a very large group, and can be made via Whatsapp.
