From starring in movies like Ah Girls Go Army to local dramas and posing for big brands like Dior – to even joining our team as Head of Marketing at Confirm Good, there’s no doubt that Glenn Yong has been keeping busy with a myriad of things to do.
Now at 26, he’s also adding singer-songwriter to his impressive list of accomplishments having released his first English single and music video ‘UP UP’ after five months of hard work poured into the production.
With an electrifying beat and lyrics about his experiences in the entertainment industry since his debut in 2019, the actor and now musician hopes to encourage and empower people to keep moving up despite the odds.
Whether you’re stuck in a toxic environment, dealing with people who wear your dreams down or facing obstacles in your journey, he hopes that listeners will be able to relate to the song and know that you will make it through.
Just like how BTS (fun fact, they’re also one of his inspirations!) popularised K-POP to the rest of the world in recent years, Glenn hopes to shine a light on Singapore’s music scene with his upcoming projects (here’s a little teaser, it’s going to be a ballad that you can belt out at KTVs!). He has also expressed an interest to collaborate with the artists of 88rising, so let’s keep our fingers crossed.

PS: Glenn will be having a fan meet on 18 June (Saturday) from 2.30pm to 5pm at Simply Live by Tin Box. The tickets are sadly already sold out but maybe if you’re in the area, you’ll be able to catch a glimpse or two of the local idol!
