Lately, my feed has been flooded with otter videos

Honestly, I’m not mad about it. But what really caught my attention is Otter & Pebbles, a brand-new otter-inspired cafe making waves in Novena.

Nestled inside Novena Specialist Centre, this zen-like hideout is the perfect escape from the city’s chaos, unless you swing by during lunch hour.

Step inside, and you’ll find cosy Japanese-style booths and open tables, making it ideal for solo cafe days or group brunches (and even your furry companions can enjoy the day with you).

The menu blends Japanese flavours with modern twists, and honestly, everything sounds so good.

The signature Ochazuke with Unagi (S$28.90) is topped with grilled eel, fragrant tea broth, and all the right toppings. Or swap the eel out for the Salmon Ochazuke (S$24.90)

It’s a fun way to change up your usual meal, pouring tea over your rice.

The Beef Patty Loco Moco (S$24.90) is a hearty bowl of white rice topped with a juicy, medium-cooked beef patty, all drenched in their special signature sauce.

Baco-Mentaiko Udon (S$17.90) is a fun combination of bacon and creamy mentaiko sauce on udon.

The Soymilk Udon (S$18.90) is a lighter, silkier option. But if you’re feeling fancy, add pan-seared salmon for an extra S$5.

Egg lovers will be pleased to try the Tamago San (S$15.90) with fluffy, custardy tamago, fried and torched with mentaiko mayo for a smoky finish. It’s like an eggy cloud of goodness.

And let’s talk about Dutch Pancakes, because yes, they have those too!

Options include PB & Otter (S$19.50), Otter caught Salmon (S$19.50), and Sweet Otter’s Fruit (S$17.50).

If you’re a pistachio fanatic, do not leave without trying the Goes Nut for Pistachio (S$17.90), a pistachio overload topped with pistachio gelato.

Even their sides are quirky. Have you ever had fried avocado?

Well, now’s your chance with the Fried Avocado (S$13), served with their signature sauce. Or go for the Honey Butter Edamame (S$9), a sweet-salty snack that sounds dangerously addictive.

One thing about Otter & Pebbles is that they take their drinks seriously.

Their Cheestache Series features beverages topped with cheese foam, giving you an actual cheese-foam mustache. A cheeky move, really.

The options include Tiramisu (S$9.50), Genmaicha (S$7), OJ (S$7.50), and The Double C (S$8).

Some other fun picks are Pineapple Americano (S$7.50), Sesame Oat Latte (S$8), Otter’s Minty Choco (S$7), Coffee Miso Caramel (S$6), Wassupbi Miso (S$8), and Strawberry Matcha (S$8).

Actually, I’m pretty impressed with their creativity.

So, will you be otter-ing it up here?
